This was SO helpful!! This is the best Pacman frog diet video I've ever seen!! I'm getting a pacman frog soon and your videos are an amazing help!! Thank you :))
Also wanna be careful with bait shops too tho because they have red wringlers-they’re toxic to frogs and most people don’t know the different and aren’t even aware there’s different types of worms
Great informative video. Good idea about the feeding container. I have always tong fed because Pixel will lunge at anything near his mouth and have ended up with a frog on my finger a few times. I might try a feeding container some for fun. Maybe that would actually get him moving. haha Also wanted to ask you, I have that same water bowl in another tank. I noticed last night it has paint that has bubbled and chipped off so I pulled it out of tank. Have you had any issues with yours?
+mama j Sounds like Pixel and Zorak are a lot alike :) I did have one of my bowls have the paint chip off like that, but not the other, so I purchased a new one. I had thought it was a fluke, but maybe not.
I doubt you will see this because its been 2 years since you uploaded this video but i have some questions. I just got a young pacman frog and she will only eat when she is in her tank. Ive tried putting her in a separate container to feed because it is less messy and she wont eat substrate. However when i do this she freaks out, pees everywhere, wont eat, and just wants back in the tank. She just gets super stressed out for some reason.
Have you tried tong feeding? This is probably my favorite method of feeding for the frogs that will cooperate. Feeding in a separate container is always nice, but if it is too stressful and she will only eat when she is in the tank, tong feeding is a nice option to keep them from eating any substrate and not leaving too much of a mess.
Is 1 cricket a day a good diet for a pacman frog. (My crickets are gutloaded) and my frog is a tiny frog right now I got him recently. He's about a juvenile
hey! im getting a pacman soon, and is it alright if i feed night crawlers most of the time and feed things like hornworms or crickets twice a month? i live in a small town so we dont have too many options at the pet stores nearby
I'm a college student, so taking care of crickets is somewhat difficult considering my living situation. Would it be okay to support a Pacman Frog on just waxworms and nightcrawlers together? Or should it be avoided?
Crickets provide very little nutritionally to pacs. Also worms for fishing are literally the same thing my family used to own a worm farm. Freeze dried are awful as it’s like feeding just exoskeletons. The best to feed pacs would be night crawlers, pac attack, Dubai roaches, horn/silk worms, and silversides.
Has your pacman frog starting croaking or making mating noises? I'm considering getting one of these little guys but I'm worries about the possible loud noise.
My younger pacman frog will occasionally croak at night. Every now and then though they will let out what can only be described as a scream, this can be quite loud, although after keeping frogs for so long I tend to sleep though it.
I am thinking of getting a Pac-Man frog some time soon and my family gets squeamish of worms. But they are fine with crickets. So can you tell me if I can feed my frog dead crickets or those zoo Meds? I am still weary of zoo meds since someone In the comments said they were toxic. Also, should I break the legs off of the crickets? or would that be ok left alone? And if I do end up using live crickets, can I tong feed the crickets to my frog? As for the worm matter I’ll see if I can find a way to feed the frog worms without bothering my family. Thank you
Hi! I have a 4 month old pacman frog and I've been feeding them every 2 days, I feed them 4 crickets and they have started excepting five. I'm wondering if I should start feeding them every 3 days or just keep it to every 2 days and change it when they get older
In one of “ExoticLair’s” video he was gut loading a bunch of crickets and somehow a wild house gecko got into the bucket. By the next morning he woke up to a half eaten house gecko. I hate those noisy bastards. Can you feed wild night crawlers? For a few months every year we get a yard full of them because they come out to breed. Weirdest thing ever.
Ok so i need ancers!!!i mite get a white tree frog and i was wondering if you knew what to feed the crickets to ceep them alive so I can feed them to my frog?
i got a baby pacman frog and im confused about feeding. i got crickets and mealworms.do i feed daily and should i alternate worms one day then crickets the other?
I'd say feed mainly crickets, and feed mealworms twice a week as they are higher in fat and can cause impaction if fed too frequently, especially with a baby pacman.
I know this is late but I have a Pac-Man frog who needs to gain weight because she’s really thin she’s a juvenile and so I bought her some waxworms to help her gain weight, how many waxworms should I give her and how often??
i got a baby Surinam horned frog about 4 days ago and he isnt eating yet... i pull the crickets legs off and the live like that fin and they can kind of move so i drop it near him but he doesnt go for it... i try mini meal worms and little wax worms but nothing.... he seems to be active today hopping around so i threw 3 crickets in there equiped with legs so maybe he can encounter them more naturally but idk im hoping... and since he is a baby are there little night crawler type of worms??? (he is the size of a nickel)
Please answer! I know the video was form a long time ago but I’m really trying to figure out how to get my Pac-Man frog to eat at night. I just got him and he will only eat in the morning. He is still awake when I feed him and seems to be during the day but he could be sleeping. I tried to feed him at night twice and he only ate 1 tiny piece of a worm and that was all. How do I get him to eat at night? Or is it okay to feed him in the morning as long as he is awake
My other Pac-Man frog barely eat I actually have to force feed it to bite before it eats. He shrunk in size since I got him I was able to force feed him fish and super worms just so I know he has something. Changing his terrarium soon hope that works.
I have a baby Pac-Man and was happy to find this he is not liking his mealworms as much as before and I got him crickets but don't know if I should disable the cricket or just put him in his cage and let him hunt them down? We named him Reginald and if it turns out to be a girl we will call her Regina
@Brooke and Bella sadly Mortimer passed away last fall. I now have a common eastern toad. He's doing quite well with his crickets and not a fussy eater at all.
If you get babies or Juveniles keep them in a 2.5 gallon tank or equivalent to the size of a 2.5 gallon tank container with their substrate as "clean water" below the throat water level so they dont drown on it and change the water or refill it once it gets dried out and when they get bigger into 2.5 inches or 3 you can keep them in a 5 gal tank or equivalent to the size of it like a megabox or something poke some holes into the container for ventilation of course, you can still keep their substrate as water (always below the throat) but if you get bored, you can keep them in a cocofiber (moist) and keep their substrate as 70% moist coco fiber and 30% dry coco fiber make sure you divide them side by side not mix them and moist the cocofiber before they dry out for the feeders and feeding schedule, you guys have this video already never give them rats/goldfish/red wigler worms and keep their staple diet or always keep their diet with dubias/pac attack pellets/hornworms and mollies/platys (fish) and put them in a warm bath before and after you feed them :)

That's kinda sad, especially since they can still get views feeding appropriate foods
