I love videos like these!! I’m planning to move to Germany and I’ve never lived abroad but seeing other African/Black people doing well in Germany gives me hope. 😊😊
I live in the South (in the USA) and I hate it. From the outside, "southern hospitality" makes Southerners come off as charming and friendly. I thought that for the first year. Years later, after working here, I see that it's just formalities. There's a huge problem with covert racism. And, as a light skinned Black woman, I constantly get treated badly by other Black folks. Southerners love to chat with strangers but it's mainly from a narcissistic need to monologue rather than genuine interest in you or an act of friendliness. When it comes to making friendships race definitely plays a role. At work, I reported a coworker for discrimination based on race and the Black people in my office ostracized me for reporting him. The echoes of the past definitely still live in the South.
Ah unfortunate about the small talk. I'm like you, just randomly complimenting on people I pass by throughout the day. I'm planning on going to Germany in a few years for further schooling and I guess I will definitely have to restrain myself from chatting with people I see/meet throughout the day.

Nice topic @Waleochronicles. Why won't you consider a relocation to the US at this time?
Thanks for watching. For now, the US is not on the radar for me. But who knows what the future holds.
Wooden houses are warm during the winters and cool during the summers. Back in the day, many people did not have air conditioners.
Interesting! Thanks for providing context.
Coming there soon!

Don’t change who you are. If you like complimenting people please continue to do so. 😊
Please I’m interested in your master class of how to get a job in English
Yh, Germany hardly has any advertising and branding it quite refreshing but also gets a bit bland.
I lived in Germany, and its true. However, I do live that country.
the compliments thing, is seen as weird here in the South... alot of ppl dont do that here. Believe it or not.
Its very hostile here.
I left the US for Germany, 2 years ago. I’m going back
Can you tell me why you feel this way?
It would be interesting if you faced racism whilst in the U.S. and how is it compared to Germany. I like your videos. Cheers.
I did not face any racism while in the US. I’ve made a video on my experience being black in Germany. I recommend you watch it.
❤ Your videos, and love hearing you speak. You're right about everything. Germany can change you and destroy your personality if you let it.
Thank you! 😃 and thanks for watching
Estoy bibiendo un café negro 🤤☕🤤
Wood is cheaper than brick.....so thats why they use wood.....if they used bricks, then their houses wouldnt be that big
