My 2022 Videography Demo Reel

- Hey friends, I know it's not "content" per se, but I had to finish some personal projects -- this reel, included -- in between all of the RUclips stuff, so I figured I'd upload it to the channel to tide us over until the next video.
This is my first time putting together a reel of my work, which was compiled between 2019 and 2022, using my previous Canon camera and the Fuji X-T4. Filming, editing, and color grading was done by me, in Final Cut Pro.
If you're trying to put one together yourself, make sure you keep it short, sweet, and include the best work that sums up both your skills and what you like to film!

For what it's worth, the Fuji footage in this reel was shot on the 16-55mm 2.8, and the 56mm 1.2. :)
I’m looking to get my first real digital camera and you’ve got me sold on Fuji. Which do you recommend between the x100v and the x-t4? What’s the difference?
It’s a great system to get into! I think it boils down to what you plan to shoot. The X100V is quite a niche camera, with a single attached lens (35mm equivalent focal length) and it’s great as an everyday carry, pocketable camera that serves well for street photography, documentation, or travel.
The X-T4 is more of a traditional hybrid camera that will handle any type of photography or video work you throw at it, and allows for different lenses and heavier duty workloads.
I’d honestly recommend the X-T4 over the X100V as a first camera, even though I can comfortably say the X100V is my favorite camera of all time. The X-T4 is also much better for video, if that’s something that you’re thinking about getting into.
The great news is that both cameras have the same sensor, as Fuji tends to do, so image quality is the same regardless of which one you get.

@@Christopher_Ray you rule. I’m planning to shoot some outdoor day-in-the-life sort of stuff in LA (video), and even maybe vlogger style talking-to-the-camera stuff for music
Okay, nice! I’d say a nice wide angle lens for vlogging and holding the camera in front of yourself, so the Sigma 16mm 1.4. The Fuji 23mm 1.4 WR is also great, though a little tighter of a view, but good for general purpose.
Or you could do the Fuji 16-55mm 2.8 if you want a good wide to mid-range zoom (my personal favorite lens).

Love it. My favorite part is that your reel wasn't trying to be "perfect", flashy, transition heavy and new age f%&^/k tart trickery. This classic vibe of story telling and look is a must in my life. You're focus on people's reactions organically is beautiful and it's missing in the video word, unless I'm missing it. You didn't go try hard, you went You. Great job.
