I was stationed at Camp Pendleton from 1979 to 1981. I fished off the pier. I don't recall any building on the end. That must have come later! Loved California back then. I wouldn't give you a nickel for it now!

They shouldn’t be allowed to wreck a pier with restaurants like that. You can’t have both it’s too dangerous. Look how it’s surrounded by water and obviously a restaurant fire but they won’t say so. Who ever heard of large wooden piers anyway? It’s not normal. Other places use concrete on lakes not even oceans.
