"EASY CHEWIE THOSE BUTTONS THEIR ARE YOUR FRIENDS" "IM TRYING"
HILARIOUS EVERY TIME I HEAR THAT LINE
That was my favorite scene from the episode, watching the F-302s swoop in and Sheppard praising himself 😂
I love the Sheppard x2 conversation, especially the accolades he gave himself 😂
I like the design of the Alien Mothership as well as their fighters.
1:29 easy chewy 😂😂 gets me every time 😂😂
They miss an opportunity to stumble upon Rod's universe.
😮pity they couldn't shut the drive down. Extra ship to use lol
"The Daedalus we know was destroyed two years ago in a battle with the Replicators"
If AltSheppard was talking about the Battle over Asuras, then it seems that in this universe time moves a bit faster than in our universe, since that battle took place less than an year prior to when this episode is supposed to take place. I suppose this could make sense, since in one of the universes the Daedalus landed, the star orbiting the Atlantis planet already went red giant, so I guess time flow is not the same in all universes.
In fact, in one of the S6 planned episodes, the writers were considering bringing back these aliens, apparently they were out for revenge on Atlantis for "screwing up their plans", though no mention if they would have been from this parallel universe or from ours, or they crossed into our universe. So I guess that "2 years" line was not a mistake, and the writers probably wanted to return to this plot in some way.
Maybe the Asurans arrived with ships instead of sending the Stargate laser?
@@Ragitsu Yeah, maybe that's what would have happened if they didn't destroy the ships with Horizon.
@@10thdoctor15 ...or they had other shipyards off-world. Or they fooled the observation devices somehow. Many possibilities exist.
so who are they?
How does he know the unknown figthers' weapons range (not that it makes sense at all in scifi)?
1:08
Might have been the Daedalus weapon range
@@Jstck1still, it's space, not like the projectiles will fall down or disappear at certain distance
@@JauvajsIf they're accelerating, any shots fired by the enemy fighters will lose their relative closure rate as the Daedalus continues to speed away. Not saying that the shots will appear to slow, stop, and fall behind-- but they will slow down enough so a slight course deviation causes them to miss the target.
The enemy started firing and the shots started hitting pretty much as Ronon said that.
If he had said "in 5 seconds" it would be impressive.
So... I guess this alternate Atlantis is out of jumpers?
Given that they're apparently fighting a losing war, it's a possibility they ran out of jumpers in a prior engagement and got F-302s from Earth to replace them.
Once the sublight engines have got the ship up to a certain speed, the ship should stay at that speed even when the engines cut out.
We've got sound in space, so...why not friction?
Its all relative, the fighters are continuing to accelerate as the daedelas maintains a constant velocity, makes perfect sense
The ship was still moving even after the engines went out. However, with the engines gone, thru had no ability to maneuver and were essentially a sitting duck (granted a sitting duck drifting at high speed in a forward direction).
