Joe has pretty much said it is his amps - there were pics of his rig at IK. Something obviously eent sideways with the collab as its jot billed as JB pack but the amps are all "coincidentally" (Joes word) the same models Joe took to IK.
Very cool as a Aussie now on veterans pension and medically discharged. It’s great to find another Australian page. Hope to find some australian pedal guys that aren’t trying to hit us with USA prices. Even looking for a replacement Humbucker for my 2010 HSS strat USA standard. Which has two custom shop fat 50’s single coils but never got into The wide dynamic Humbucker. Yet my 71 starcaster in that yellow colour. Yet Fender semi hollow the two Humbuckers sound great. But like to get a paf type Humbucker that think would go in nice with the custom shop fast fifties as they have what’s missing in the standard fat 50’s so keeping them but finding a good Aussie Humbucker builder that not going to kill me posting nsw near tweed border Pottsville. Any hints be great. I love to support Australians doing pick ups pedals amps but keeping us Australians in the park for cost. As matching usa pedals can just be stupid once in our crappy dollar and hit 1000 bucks including postage min australian dollars your going to get hit with a tax more like fine. As was originally for 5 or 8 k buissness. Yet dollar changed and I hit 1000.20 Australian then got email your product will not be released until payment 235 bucks i rang said. Ahh it was 635 dollars USA yes but we charge you if it equals 1000 australian weather that’s postage as well. Said crap I’ve bought guitars before not punished. Yes it was ex amount but now $999 you are not charged. But $1 more instant charge or can be sent back. Said I’m on veteran pension and saved to buy not get tricked by our gov again to steal money from me for nothing as these purchases are not available in Australia. I was told just buy things in smaller amounts. Which is crap needing to make three orders on same day makes life hard but se something nice maybe 700 bucks free postage yet our dollar you’ll be paying maybe 400 bucks to get it from customs. Got to love it music instruments are crazy priced and stops us being able to have nicer gear you can buy a car. It really sucks I’m using the ik stuff in logic yeah Bonamassa has apparently done a couple of his amps just hit yo. Find them was told they are out there and not in a pack YET LOL. Big fan JB. Hi there,did you record the sound via audio interface in logic or with mic from the environment? And i wonder what speakers you’re using to hear the sound,thank you very much.
The audio was recorded via my Audient iD44 interface in Logic - the only time you hear a microphone is when I’m talking…I edit all the room sounds when I’m not talking out…so you only hear the ToneX sound when I play guitar!
As for my speakers…I use a pair of Yamaha HS8 monitors

No…just the ToneX plugin! I used the plugin version in this video…you can get the pedal if you want to use this live but it sounds pretty much the same as a plugin or on the pedal!!

Sounds very organic to me. Very nice review. I wonder how tonex would sound in the amps effectsloop return with a real speaker. Did you tried this? It would use this to add extra channels for my Victory V40 deluxe.
These are captures with cabs baked in. You can't play them through guitars cabs. I mean, you could in theory, but it would be pointless. Good DI captures are another story, though. They can sound glorious through real cabs.
@@milankotevski1663, I already figured it out. DI csptures are indeed the way to go in conjunction with a tube amp
@@marcohermans3207 Been there and have found the colouration from the amp/cab muddies the DI tones. I've been disappointed with digital into real amps.
These sound great. Tonex has an open and airy quality I don't hear with modelers.
The licensing/trial process is so janky though. Noise bursts no matter what I do and can't really try like other software.
The noise bursts are intentional and there just for the trial of sounds you have to purchase.
@@onewiththings you can "try" with noise burst just by selecting. You supposedly can try for 30 minutes it says without, but nothing changes. It's a dumb process either way. Just give us a 7 or 14 day trial like most other plugins.
Yeah I'm curious about those pedal only captures. I'm a bit skeptical on how well Tonex can capture a classic overdrive pedal and have it affect an amplifier similar to the original, such as... the hardware Tonex pedal with an overdrive capture going into a real tube amp. Otherwise the amp captures sound pretty freakin' righteous. Cheers!
I use an original Guv'nor and have been using a capture on the Tonex. Can't tell the difference on an AB.
@@rgbplumbinghilton Curious - are you using the standalone pedal with the Guv'nor capture to drive a real (non virtual) amplifier? Thanks for the feedback.
@@Garflipsyes. Running tonex Guv'nor capture into Tube and solidstate amps.
I will look into that…I haven’t really checked out any pedal only captures…I’ll do a video about that soon!!
