theres an old ik multimedia satriani pack that also had some emulations of the rockman he used on older albums.the rockman sound is basically the 80s sound of lots of famous songs
They did already! You get the Slash collection with Amplitube 5 MAX or you can pay $99 for it. Right now you can get MAX for $99, so that's obviously the best deal.
You mean IK isn't lazy like NDSP? You don't say. Another youtube channel had an interview with one of the product owner/mangers at Line 6, seems they are leery of using borrowed amps for the models they create.
@@knuck1952 Of Course it would be what Eric has left, and uses, since about 1996. Most Fans know that in about 1994 while touring Eric suffered a mishap to his Hearing, and revamped his Live setup, he went from his Marshall 100 watt, and 2 Twin Reverb setup, to 50 watt Marshalls and 2 deluxe reverbs setup. The Dumble was gone even before that. The Dumble somehow had gotten to Carlos Santana, who is the one who loaned it to Amplified nation so they could build their version of a Steel String Singer. Most likely ERIC sold the Head to Carlos. Hope this helps. I have an old Guitar Magazine from around that time where Eric Documents the Changes that he Made. He may have some of the old 100 watt setup, but most likely does not use it anymore. This is why when he plays with G3 he wears headphones. It is also why Venus Isle has a different sound than Ah Via Musicom.
just imagine, eric has never even made a signature analog pedal in all these years. so, i find it hard to imagine eric making a digital version of all his analog gear . He is the most notorious tone hound who even now uses a tape machine for his delay (!)
The JS Vault is on my shortlist, as I just got ToneX and Amplitube, but I have to say I am pretty impressed with just the SJ50 in Amplitube... so I'm really psyched for the full ToneX experience
I would like to try the JVM signature head version. I've used a 6100 head and the clean is really, really good. But I've gone Helix so that would complicate things a bit....
Just new to this capturing concept, can they capture all the rig including modulation effects or just amp and cabs? I wonder if you can get a full modulated tone with just TONE X?

Hello mate! First of all incredible playing!! I have a question.. Don't know if you heard but IK software have this input gain problem - everything sounds so bad and even if i load the model clean in tonex and i play the audio demo in the bottom it sounds so different than the same model with the same audio demo if you press play to listen to the model without loading it in tonex.. What the hell is going on. And same stuff happens when I try to play using different models... How do you resolve that problem because your sound is phenomenal even inside the mix!
The difference in having a world class engineer make the captures is incredible, i always moaned about digital gear just not being able to replicate that cream low mid sound of analogue, turns out it can do it just fine, just needs a pro at the helm. This is the best sounding fender and marshal amp in a box period. The idea of getting some legendary tones is exciting, can you imagine if jimmy page agreed to it.
@@lyricbread yes you are right. Last Friday afternoon is my guess as that was when John picked up the JS1200 and said he wanted to back some videos before the reveal on Thursday
I almost overlooked this and then I saw all of the Fender stuff in there. The price is $99, but you can demo it for 30 minutes. Don't forget your jampoints and they run 50% sales on packs all the time if you want to wait. I ran through some of them before work this morning and there wasn't a bad capture in there.
You mentioned you wished bands did captures of their rig when recording. Petrucci did exactly this with his IR collection recently. Didn't capture the amps unfortunately, but the IR is the most important thing anyway. Plenty of JP-2C captures around.
And Joe plays mostly through a clean amp with a ds1 in front! Why is everyone obsessing over every amp Joe owns… joes tone comes through his fingers and style…. I love Joe but this is becoming mad
People say it's not possible to have the guitar sound of your heroes. YESSS you cna. You really can't play like Joe or Eddie or Jimi but if you have thousands of dollars you can have their equipment and and hear perfectly their sound oh yes you can. I always thought people misunderstood this concept but nowadays this is going to an end.. Sorry for my English I'm Brazilian. Keep rocking!
Hey John - did you miss John Pettruci's Tonemission IR collection - I can't recall if you did a video on it but you didn't John recorded all the tones from the last DT album, the last Liquid Tension Experiment album and his last solo album.
I own and gig a Satch JVM, sensational amp so this pack would be a killer collection to get hold of. Also, how the hell do play so bloody perfectly?! Phenomenal player mate
Hi thanks for the great demo, love your channel😊 i have tested the tones and they sound great😊 i am so tempted to buy, but I would just feel much better if these were officially approved by the amp manufacturers themselves. What is your thought on that. Maybe this could be an idea for a separate video? I believe that this is the future that amp manufacturers jump on board and also get a piece of the cake😊 cheers
Just new to this capturing concept, can they capture all the rig including modulation effects or just amp and cabs? I wonder if you can get a full modulated tone with just TONE X?
Wow, from 3:00 on, amazing how close this is to the classic Satch tone. I was going to pull the trigger on the ODS collection but now I really have to wait for a sale I guess 😢
Maybe a dumb question... the amp are IK media. The effects your using, are those part of the IK software? Or are they plugins in your DAW? Or soemthing else?
Tonex tones and pickups definitely sound like the cheap processors of yesteryear. In the hands of an excellent and wonderful guitarist like you, it sounds at the highest level of quality possible, but it is obvious that it is far behind its other competitors.
@5:08 - That Fender clean tone is incredible!!!
This Tony X… He’s gonna be big!
Phil's brother.
He was gonna be big… but now he’s a tiny One
Finally some higher amp gain! Combined with those Satch pickups. And talent.
about time
A real legato machine!
You're playing Satch's favorite mode... Lydian
Great backing track there. Cool review. Keep rocking!~
Love this! IK has their finger on something incredible.

Is it possible to get this backing track?
That phrasing is just killer, on point as always!
I wish they would do a similar thing with Slash! The Satriani collection is just amazing!
That's a great idea. I think it's definitely an untapped market that makes so much sense?

Nice hearing you play a bit more high gain leads. Lovely tones.

JNC would flip if they got a ERIC JOHNSON, amplifier tone pack especially if they could capture, the delays and overdrives, as well.
Please Tonex.......................make this happen!

Beautiful ! Satch's playing and tones were, are and always will be...my favourite. The outro to Time and Dream Song never fail to take my breath away.

Best guitarist on YT for me. Such tasteful, emotive and melodic lead playing.
Some beautiful guitar playing going on here.
Maybe the most beautiful playing on YT

Is there a cornford hurricane in the pack? Think he did a lot of the strange beautiful music album with one
Underrated album, one of my favourites!
Great album, some of Satch’s best writing in my opinion
Nice voicing from all Joes guitars...on any amp..

hoenstly the best guitar player. 2:03-3:00 so sick.
I am not really interested in digital (software) amps... :/
Flying in a “new” dream… great intro
Is the reverb you are using here, comming from the ToneX unit itself ?
We need a tone X multi effect pedal loaded with guitar effects
Sweet tones

This was likely filmed along with the last video. Same apparel.

Tasty playing 🔥

Great tones. Early seventies Marshalls post 71 were the mk2 super leads. Metal panel, not plexi. Best version ime

Some bands do have them on STL Tonehub, but it’s usually more geared towards metal I believe
Tasty tones and epic playing as usual

In the early days maybe, but anytime in the last 30 years? Not sure (apart from in sets trying to replicate the tone of earlier stuff maybe)
I don’t think he’s done that since the 90s when he was running a DS-1 into the clean channel of a Marshall 30th Anniversary
Google joe's board 2023 2024 and you will see he still uses a pretty simple board with a keeley modded ds1....into a Marshall....
In this video, JNC sounds like 4 of my favourite guitarists: Satch, Vai, EJ and JNC. ❤
Those cleans are incredible!
All of the sudden the fact that is $179 is moot since you are going to have to spend up to $100 to get additional packs,

I'm not a Satch fan (heresy, I know), but even so these tones sound really great to me. And great playing in the intro jam! -Tom
This is the huge advantage of ToneX. Some really great artist captures. John it sounds like that Satch Signatue Ibanez was made for you!
Also, as a Turk, I watch all your videos from start to finish and I like them very much. Thank you very much for your informative content.
€99.99 I will try them out but I'm guessing that these amps are already available as free downloads that just need dialed in.
Damn too bad no one can play JS riffs to demo this because they'd lose monetization! 😢

I wonder if you can get a full modulated tone with just TONE X?
Just amps and gain based effects, e.g. boosts, overdrive, distortion, etc.

Sweet, I love Joe's playing and tones.
How do you get this for Kemper??
Can't help thinking the ToneX might be a viable option if it just had an effects loop.
Personally I prefer running all of my modulation and verbs / delays after the ToneX.

What if I told you that you'll still never sound like him.
And with 27 of his amps, and his guitar, you sound like John Cordy… Strange world.
Joe obviously needs to prop up his pension fund.
He must make a lot from Ibanez judging by how much his artist models cost. But he's going to have to get by without my money.

Guitar players care.
