Wow... I believe the Junior School teachers play a big role in every student's education. A Junior school teacher can make a student hate studies or love studies. It is the most stressful job. Middle school and high school teachers has a very relaxed job compared to a Junior School teacher. The stress they go through on a daily basis is something that cannot be imagined. I have a 8 year old son, who is very naughty. It's not that easy to handle him. Just imagine a group of 8 year old children, his teachers has to handle.
Y’all don’t know how much things like this mean to these teachers. They go through a lot. Hearing genuine appreciation from their students is the best gift they could ever ask for.
You are a scum bag....all of life is not about sex. She gave him interest in something he previously hated and/or disliked and got him to enjoy school instead of hating it
as we grow older we tend to think back to the people who helped mold us. Thank you to all the teachers who make an impact on us and give us the love and guidance we need as kids to want to achieve. Mr. Coleman, Mr. Pruitt, Mrs. Hilton, Mrs Hepner, Mr Caudle, Mr Clark, Mr Skelton, and most of all Mr. Keene.... thank you for all you did.
I have had my teacher 3 years in a row and he has saved me from drugs, alcohol and self harm, I’m in junior year and he hasn’t told a soul about my personal issues.

You have a talent that is irreplaceable: a talent of touching peoples' hearts in ways they won't forget. When I got accepted to Columbia University I went back to PS 186 but she no longer worked there :( Wow she must be in her 50’s now
Jokes are fine when obviously jokes. Assumptions can cause trouble. For me, your disclaimers were not needed. In her place, I would have given an A for the obvious preparation and the courage shown to go on when nerves caused you to lose track on the piano part; not for the compliments laced with criticism. Good job. Keep playing and singing, even if only for yourself.
I remember that my whole class made our teacher cry... that it was because we couldn’t behave and that we were the worst class ever she had! Good memories
We need more Teachers like her to reach out and grab our children and make them feel more about themselves and others. You can tell this teacher went beyond just standing at the chalkboard talking she helped the children lean and thats why they did this for her.

wow that was really sweet, good job for making your teacher feel special. I Think every teacher wishes some student would do that to her, made her summer for sure :)
His voice has a really nice and warm color. I think a little bit of vocal couching would turn him into a very good singer if he worked on his range, the breathing and finding a way to keep the tone straight.
He does have potential. It’s obvious that he needs some work on his voice, but if he continues to practice there’s no reason why he couldn’t be a decent singer before long.

I was a teacher for many years. Taught middle school special education math and alternative learning students. It's pretty surprising what students will do to show appreciation for the teacher when the teacher does their job as if they actually care for the students. I usually left my door open when I would leave for lunch or had a period off. I often came back to notes from from students on my desk, sometimes candy, a drink from the machine outside because I might have mentioned what my favorite drink was, etc. It varied. I didn't always know who it was coming from. Sometimes I suspected who it was because I knew the schedules of my students so I knew who would be on what floor and close by enough to leave something on the desk. But it didn't matter. As a teacher who just wanted to show kids who hated learning more than most kids and likely had less support than most other kids, I was happy that there was some resemblance of appreciation from any of my students. I'm a 35 year old disabled combat vet... and if a student would've done this for me, I likely would've teared up, too. I've teared up simply for one sentence notes saying "Have a good day, Mr. Hewett!" So... as a teacher, speaking for all teachers, thank you for taking time to be creative with the work your teacher gave you in a way that also showed appreciation.
Awesome comment...the candy, soft drinks, notes were THEIR song to a THEIR beloved teacher. Thank you, Sir, for your service to our county, military and in the classroom. Your students obviously know how much you care for and about them. I have an intelligent and personable young family member who struggled with learning disabilities. In high school, he had special ed for two subjects. When he reached his senior year, he was in all mainstream classes, thanks to the dedication of his fine special teacher. He was one elective class short that year. When he was told he needed to select an additional class, he, literally, ran straight to his special ed teacher to ask permission to be her aide for the year. THAT was HIS seranade to HER. That and his graduation diploma. Thanks to you all who have special patience with those very special students who work the hardest and get the least recognition! Kudos, ad infinitum to you! The families (and students) are eternally grateful.
Props for having the guts to do that, can't be easy to write, play, and sing to your teacher, in front of your class mates.. Wish more folks took the time to make someone's day. Well done. (and you are right, lectures are harsh)
I play several instruments and music is my soul and heartbeat. When he opened I was moved like I would be while roaming between campsites at the Moonshiners Reunion Music Festival playing along with hillbillies & angels to songs I may have not heard before that can sucker punch your screaming feelings. He accepted his current abilities humbly and then dgaf. Amazing how, while he sang with courage and heart, he carried the tune very well as his pitch wavered above and below target shakingly, he was perfecting imperfection, and I wish he continued. I have heard the most beautiful, soulful singing from grainy straining vocal chords shamelessly missing the right notes but nailing every right emotion. They sing it anyway because real music isn't supposed to be a stale classical piano competition where top honors go to the most boring clones. Real music gets your focus, takes the lead, and let's you feel someone else's heart beating in your chest.
I thoroughly enjoyed what you did called your Teacher to serenade your Teacher with the song you’ve composed is dedicated to her it’s awesome I think she’s happy and proud of you, I’m laughing as well because of your Teacher reactions was a surprised for her never realised she has to be on stage, you’ve done a good job I like it
Thank you for your comment you made a year ago when you said "Too bad the comment section is infested by sad excuses for human beings. " The world is not a very nice place to live in, but it is nice to know that you seem to be someone that longs to see a better world than the one we have today"
Nicely done, young man! My music teacher (50 years ago) had a profound and lasting impression om my life. I'm sure that your performance will be a memory to cherish for your teacher
Teachers; in my opinion, are the backbone of society. Without them we would have no society to speak of. They do more than hard work, they give of themselves and everything comes from within. Thank you to ALL teachers who help make this world a better place for everyone.
Well C. Michael, see if you can do a better job at teaching the children. I know I can't, I only know that I raised two very fine children that made me proud. But the teachers that they had were very dedicated and without them my children would not get far in life.
so i went to centennial many many many years ago now and this just goes to show how years pass but mrs. dunham she never changes. brings back some great memories.
My absolute two favorite Beatles songs...Thanks, this was a real pick me up.Great spoof and what a courageous young entertainer. I hope he has navigated life's highway to a place of happiness.
I use to sing like this to my teacher at my Catholic school , he was a priest . He always appreciated it so much . I know this because every morning before school started , he would help me tuck my shirt in !! Thanks again Father Peter Johnson
i just can't remember any teachers at my local comp who really helped me in anything, but it was in the 60's and 70's, a different time. i was a reasonably talented cyclist who trained with the national squad and the school didn't give any help or encouragement so i stopped asking. A comfort was that when i was mid 20's i was earning double what they were at half their age, through my own efforts in learning computing, a subject they didn't teach at any level anyway, so i can respect teachers that go the extra mile, i'm sure it must make a big difference. GL
Dang it, now I wanna serenade my teacher from 2 years ago. She was the best I ever had, I was part of the troublemakers of the class, but she never gave up on us, hell, she actively supported us and treated us like PEOPLE. She was the best, I wonder if she still has the little gold goat drawing I made for her birthday...
violinplayer101 I know some kid who changes key constantly when he sings it pisses me off so much, this guy is at least hitting the notes even if it's not of good quality.
violinplayer101 -- I would rather hear someone singing slightly sharp than slightly flat. We of perfect pitch have to deal with this all the time, no ? :) I listened to your songs - you have a great voice !! It is already becoming well rounded, your pitch is perfect, and your vibrato is perfect.. Keep working, sing all the time, sing in the choir at church, just keep singing ! We all expect to see you do great things, and we are all thankful for you and your sweet, beautiful, voice !!
His playing is way off at times and others way to rigid but his singing is pretty good. Having said that this is some kid at highschool I presume so it's cute af
Fran Danco I JUST saw your comment today after stumbling upon this video again. Thank you so much! That’s very kind of you to say. Making music my career was never really something I ever felt a calling to do, though. Singing is just something that brings me joy, and that I have a lot of fun doing as a hobby!
Guaranteed made that teacher's year! In 1971, my high school band class was to play "Pomp And Circumstance" for the graduating class. A few of the class members and I had formed up a small group, doing Blood, Sweat and Tears numbers, as well as Chicago and other popular music. We played at local Friday night "TeenTown" gigs. Lots of fun. We got together and re-wrote some lyrics for "Heidi-Ho," by BS&T for our band teacher. Her name was Heidi Sharpe and was having a tough time. We set it up with the graduation committee to play the song just before the graduation song. Heidi was already on the stage with us, and was visibly annoyed we deviated from the program...until Rod started singing the lyrics we had written for her. She fell apart. It was beautiful. Will remember the performance for life! The young man in this video made an indelible mark on two lives, at least. His and Donna's. Well done!
I love the vid, but I love the fact that in the beginning the one kid joked that they needed even more people to mess things up reminds me of every high school talent show, the "host" is some junior or senior who everyone finds cringey and funny...brings nostalgia

Now that is the best way to show a teacher that you appreciate the time and energy they have put in to teach you. Well done!!
As a scouser “let it be” has always had a special place in my heart.
Props for having the guts to do that, can't be easy to write, play, and sing to your teacher, in front of your class mates.. Wish more folks took the time to make someone's day. Well done. (and you are right, lectures are harsh)
This was wonderful. A moment neither one of them will ever forget. I cried too. lol 🥰
Wow. No comments on this yet? Your post is spot on. When you can feel someone else's heart... that is the best music!!
💙 👍
bet he got an A for that semester

I'm sure he got T along with that A, and also a extra credit B and J from the teacher.
My like got this comment to four digits.
When a teacher makes a diff in a child’s life.
Here's to Mr. Beaton and Mrs. Hawk, two of the best teachers I ever had.
There is nothing better than a good teacher.
I thoroughly enjoyed what you did called your Teacher to serenade your Teacher with the song you’ve composed is dedicated to her it’s awesome I think she’s happy and proud of you, I’m laughing as well because of your Teacher reactions was a surprised for her never realised she has to be on stage, you’ve done a good job I like it
How incredibly sweet. Too bad the comment section is infested by sad excuses for human beings.
AGREED
Couldn't of said it better myself
Are you honestly surprised?
That's how you know you made a successful RUclips video
Thank you for your comment you made a year ago when you said "Too bad the comment section is infested by sad excuses for human beings. " The world is not a very nice place to live in, but it is nice to know that you seem to be someone that longs to see a better world than the one we have today"
He’s a such an amazing singer and pianist!
I would’ve cried too if I were his teacher
What an awesome unforgettable tribute to miss Donna. Congrats young man, true Artist! 🙏🏻💗🌹
Nicely done, young man! My music teacher (50 years ago) had a profound and lasting impression om my life. I'm sure that your performance will be a memory to cherish for your teacher
Soon as he struck the first rift, I knew the song, but wow, how it turned comic when he did the parody to "Hey Jude".. Great job dude!
Teachers; in my opinion, are the backbone of society. Without them we would have no society to speak of. They do more than hard work, they give of themselves and everything comes from within. Thank you to ALL teachers who help make this world a better place for everyone.
Lame
Well C. Michael, see if you can do a better job at teaching the children. I know I can't, I only know that I raised two very fine children that made me proud. But the teachers that they had were very dedicated and without them my children would not get far in life.
It reminds me of my teacher and the moment i sang a song for my teacher on farewell..😢..love my renu mam..

Yep for me Father Rogers (Yes that was his real name). Though normally he was blocked(drunk) .
How to make an adult spin in a chair.
No but seriously this is just adorable!
i just can't remember any teachers at my local comp who really helped me in anything, but it was in the 60's and 70's, a different time. i was a reasonably talented cyclist who trained with the national squad and the school didn't give any help or encouragement so i stopped asking. A comfort was that when i was mid 20's i was earning double what they were at half their age, through my own efforts in learning computing, a subject they didn't teach at any level anyway, so i can respect teachers that go the extra mile, i'm sure it must make a big difference. GL
She'll remember that forever!
What a nice thing to do for your teacher. Kudos to you, you did great!
What A Wonderful Teacher! 😅❤ She helped many young people, We can tell!😅
Hey, at least he's singing in tune...I'd rather hear this than someone who is singing slightly sharp the whole time anyday...
violinplayer101 I know some kid who changes key constantly when he sings it pisses me off so much, this guy is at least hitting the notes even if it's not of good quality.

I would rather hear someone singing slightly sharp than slightly flat.
We of perfect pitch have to deal with this all the time, no ? :)
I listened to your songs - you have a great voice !!
This is how I remember school. Unity, talent and great teachers. What a great video. Good on you for doing this.

Teacher: "Meet me after school so we can talk about your new mark" 😂
Well done!
He definitely made her day. This was so sweet
I love the vid, but I love the fact that in the beginning the one kid joked that they needed even more people to mess things up reminds me of every high school talent show, the "host" is some junior or senior who everyone finds cringey and funny...brings nostalgia
if u think that kid was cringy u lack some sense of humour
@@Momo-bb2fn I thought it was incredibly cringy. Yet it made me laugh. That is my sense of humor, definitely was not trying to sound like an asshole
Reminded of @notsam
