Glad you enjoyed the video. I had so much fun arranging this one and bringing everyone back together since Hoist the Colors. Your reaction to Eric's solo was me when he sent back the recording 😂
Love watching you react to bass singers, Dave 👍- your facial expressions just crack me up! 😆 Not sure if you've reacted to the tracks before but this song has been done as part of the sea shanty medley by Home Free and as a metal shanty by Jonathan Young, with Colm McGuinness and others. The chap with the operatic tone is Danny "Big Brev" Brevit and he is an opera singer. (Edit: the Bass Gang are releasing "Valhalla Calling" tomorrow with Big Brev - that should be good!!) That Bass Guy is called Eric Holloway.
Every time you see Eric Holloway, you should KNOW with out a doubt, there is about to be some new fault lines made in the earth's crust and speakers obliterated. That was an E1 sub harmonic......THATS NUTS!!!
5:33 I just knew his solo was gonna give you some of the best stank faces ever. Heck just the word "The" at 5:48 had *_ME_* stank facin' like there's no tomorrow. Had to replay that one word multiple times. So I just knew it was going to make you ascend. Also, "Santiana" was part of Home Free's Sea Shanty Medley. So if you remember that, you've heard Santiana.
I've never seen you get up and run out of frame! Lol! The group The Wellermen (not 100% you've seen them before) did this with The Bass Gang about a year ago. Definitely worth checking out!
I enjoy a lot your reactions, you always have good words for everybody and this is very nice, in a world (internet and real world) where people have fun insulting and badly judging others like a normal behaviour. Thank you
Bass versions of a LOT of songs are indeed damn good. However I've heard voiceplay do unchained mellody. It's amazing and then some. However it doesn't quite catch Boby Hatfeilds legendary 1965 live performance, Only version to do it honor, but Hatfield had his step into legend that day, and even though I have no doubt voiceplay will/has created legends of their own, this wasn't it.

I’m still in disbelief. How does a human voice get that low.
Didn't I tell you "cue the reactions" 😂
The C1 at 5:44 is absolutely COLOSSAL
Excellent arrangement! You gave everyone a chance to shine and Eric always rattles the soul when he lets it out.
You guys gotta do an arrangement of anything from Rachmaninoff's All Night Vigil. Dave will be stuck on the meme math scene forever.
The reason you heard opera from Big Brev (Danny Brevik) is because he was an opera singer. Now he's a vocal teacher.
Dave went mathematical due to the deepness of that bass 🤣🤣
"Let's do math... Okay fck it, that voice is deeply impossible!"
Let's see. According to my calculations, the period tends to... infinity?
That can't be right...
if eric goes "really" low... continental shelves start moving
No lies detected...

IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS REACTION SINCE THE SANTIANA COVER CAME OUT! YESSSSSS!!!
So true
The Kings of Vocals
6:07 Dave has left to check himself into a psych ward.
I was soooo ready for your reaction on Eric! 😂😂😂 Didn’t disappoint, and honestly felt the same! 😄😄
Eric is always the cherry in a cake
Every time you see Eric Holloway, you should KNOW with out a doubt, there is about to be some new fault lines made in the earth's crust and speakers obliterated. That was an E1 sub harmonic......THATS NUTS!!!
It was chest he does not use extended techniques for his low notes.
Eric doesn't use subs cuz he does not know but 5:54 was chest fry.
you've heard part of this song in the Home Free Sea Shanty Medley.

5:48 was D1 chest (i think).
That was so awesome! Wow the low note INSANE!!😮. Loved it . Thank you

The operotic vocalist is daniel brevik.. check out some of his videos.. he does opera and subhamonics.. he has a wide range vocally
I swear Eric is gonna cause an earthquake with his voice
日本でももっとこの歌が話題になってほしいと思います!
Thank you so much for this reaction! Great arrangement! I sure wish these seven would do more!
That octavist trick always hits different. Lol😂
I enjoy a lot your reactions, you always have good words for everybody and this is very nice, in a world (internet and real world) where people have fun insulting and badly judging others like a normal behaviour. Thank you
Escucho esto y automáticamente saltan mis lágrimas, es espectacular!
Love it the guy with eyepatch just caused a tremor over here in New England
If you like santiana, check out the wellerman & the bass gang cover. Peter goes full operatic in his part!
Eypatch bro got some gravel in his gut that hit hard! Felt like I was being spoken to by an Eldrich god!
Thats Eric Hollaway for you, his speaking voice makes the rest of the group sound like Tenors XD. Crazy low super dark sound to his voice. It's great!
5:35 his bass voice might be the deepest ive heard in my opinion
Eric isn't human he is the earth itself singing.
YES!!!! YOU GOT TO IT!!!!
Look up The Longest Johns cover of this one with Skal, they sing part of it in french and its really cool.
5:44 is a fucking C1 subharmonic...
...absolutely massive.
D1 chest fry
@@SouthPawBowler24 the D1s before and after it are chest fry but this is definitely a C1 subharmonic
This might violate my theory that there can never be too much bass.
Have you heard their cover of Misty Mountain? It’s GODLY
That's a D1 chest fry (for first time not a full chest note) for mr. Eric.
He also hits a chest fry (C1) in a duet with geoff on "way down"
@Guest.7289_2 really?
@@pontu_com4586 yep it's on his channel somewhere
4:12 - You're correct, that's Eric!
Have you heard The Trammps - "Zing! When the Strings of My Heart!"? I know you like this Bass and they bring the OG bass
the part following santiana gained the day is closer to the original
The only thing missing from this song is Peyton perish, Jonathan Young and colm Mcguiness, Geoff Castollichi , and Tim Foust
when i ear Eric here, i ear Jormungandre from God Of War talking
3:51 you know that dave
Big brev
it's a good version but I think Jonathan Youngs version is better
Ayyyy

The bass was crazy at the end and my girlfriend now's in your old videos you have deodorant and a big fan and my girlfriend is a fan to
I won't lie it's not my favorite I know they could've done better
honestly Jonathan young did better. way better
