Your hat is freaking awesome! You allowed to not read the pattern once in a while. The one that you messed up still looks good. Can you do more hat patterns? A former friend had made me a newsboy hat. I loved it for a short while, then it started making me mad. She didn't follow the pattern to make the bill because she wasn't good at it, and she never finished any of her seams so they would un -ravel. Here is a tip for beginner sewers'. Make sure you are proud of your seams and they can stand being tugged on. Also if you are not good at something and are giving it to someone please make sure you practice more or make them something that you are proud of.

Honestly, I’ve been digging the Velcro lately myself.
This seems a lot simpler than the pattern I used, where I had the thick board for the brim. And I need those fabrics!!!🎉🧡💛💚💙🩵💜🤎🖤🩷🩶🤍
