I noticed that as well 😂
It was pretty gross, especially considering her age.
@@Senfree well technically she'd be about 20-25 in this game, since she was 12 in botw but yeah your point still stands
EDIT: the closest thing we have to an official time gap is Zelda's VA saying it's been 8 years since BotW, so while we can speculate all we want, the "official" time gap is 8 years, so going off of Riju's age as stated in the BotW artbook as 12, she would be 20 as of TotK. Hope this helps

So great of you to show off some indie projects. Doug worked really hard and it's nice to see his coding prowess pay off
I was sad to see that Guy Fieri wasn't included in the 'Tears of the Kingdom' DLC, but it truly ties together why he morphed into the green food munching reptile we all know and love
This is easily the best DLC snake has ever received
Fun fact:you can still flurry rush the last phase of ganondorf by flurry rushing his flurry rush against your flurry rush.
before i watched this i thought double flurry rushing him was the only way to beat him
Plus, there's a pattern to it which makes it even easier once you figured it out. It felt like a fromsoft boss. It was so awesome

Spoilers:
This incarnation of Zelda spent 100 years with Calamity Ganon in a metaphorical chokehold, then almost immediately 10,000 more years wandering alone in the sky with nothing in her heart but the hope that one day it will all be worth it to Link. She is the most dedicated Zelda to date, no contest.
Nintendo really hates zelda as a character.
MORE than 10,000 years. 10,000 years ago was a previous calamity ganon where the sheikah fought with the divine beasts and guardians. Sonia and Rauru are WAAAAAAAAAAAY more than 10,000 years ago, right back to the founding of Hyrule, before even Skyward Sword's time.
@@PiercingSight Wait, that just clicked. Is the imprisoning war a retelling of the war that was told at the start of skyward sword? For obvious reasons, I think this is a reboot instead of a true sequel in the timeline, but it could still be all the same~
To be fair, when Zelda was a dragon she was sleeping, so it didn’t have to wait the whole 10,000+ years, but she is definitely dedicated
I wonder if that is why she is the most insufferably whiny
35:52 Watching this scene again with all the context, Zelda is giving Link her Sage Vow. The details are just mind blowing.
Oh my god you're right, she literally gives him her sage ability
That is so cool to understand now omg :-:
Damn you’re right!!!
Also Zelda took Rauru’s secret stone in the beginning, which rested on his hand. So for the rewind ability to appear in the same place is interesting.
He is the 8th sage!
Imagine being Purah, sending Link up to scan the area, then a few minutes later he comes crashing into the floor next to you.
And then saying: "That was some great diving Link!"

The fact that this video is almost 6 hours long shows just how much content Nintendo have put into this game. Absolute masterpiece!
Exactly and it's just the main story too ❤ can't get over how beautiful this game is
Ye!
This isnt his entire playthrough right? 6 hours is a microscopically short time to beat the game.
I mean, there was still plenty of busy work.
Mainly, the Light-Root Depths. It's really empty down there except for concentrated spots, and unlike the shrines, activating the roots doesn't provide any reward (or tasty puzzle) other than the very basic function of being able to see. It really is the definition of an empty open world, for the sake of having an open world (down there.)
The above ground sections were handled well, and the sky stuff was also good. The depths on the other hand, were not the best.
@@Aaron-qe9ms YEP

Hope you enjoyed playing the Snake 2 DLC!
That boss fight against Ganondorf has so many incredible design decisions. The health bar going past the normal limits, the fact that just like at the beginning of the game he can reduce your number of hearts, his ability to use the flurry rush against you, and the fact that the "ganon" form was caused by draconification, which was well established previously as a possibility. Can't speak about the gameplay itself from just watching, but this might be my favourite boss fight in any Zelda game.
What stellar props they deserve for actually MANAGING to do a final boss fight JUSTICE!
What an incredible effort by the developers to make such a masterpiece...
I think they should have made it even harder imo. When I played it was pretty easy to cheese him out with a lynel bow and fuses
when I did it, the only thing I knew about is he can dodge flurries. I had no idea it meant he gets to counter them entirely. and when he got put into phase two and his health went past the screen, I legit yelled cause they totally didn't need to do that, but it was so cool. as somebody who did the fight, they made it challenging but not brutal, and made the fight feel so much better than the fight with calamity, like how the dragon section felt way more involved and cinematic compared to dark beast.
@@eggbag4182 I wish they introduce a DLC (or mod) that makes it harder, like you really have to prep for the fight because it's gonna run through your inventory, especially by facing a way bigger army outside of the glooms lair with Lynels and gloom hands.
It was easily the best final boss fight in a Zelda series! For anyone looking for a fun challenge, do it with no shield, bow, or healing, just the Master Sword. It forces you to learn his moves and tells and feels really well balanced, like they tuned it to be a great challenge for that specifically

Nintendo definitely and stupidly does not agree.

Pointcrows thought processing throws me for a loop every time. I literally forget he's like an actual genius
4:20:20 is heartbreaking. The planning and writing needed to pull something like this off is insane, and [SPOILERS!!] the fact that we see her as the dragon the second we jump off to see the logo at the beginning of the game, with no knowledge about it truly being Zelda, is mind-blowing. Just the way this game connects back onto itself the more you progress... Game of the Year material for sure. And PointCrow's reaction, him suddenly realizing what this means for us and for Zelda, couldn't have been more on point
How did it manage to be the funny number too?

Man that moment at 5:10:10 where Rauru tells Ganondorf about Link and the music swells…I always tear up a little ngl
That shit got me so good bro…

Yeah. Especially link’s theme there. They use it so little in the modern games so it hits like a freight train whenever you hear it. That is in my top 3 moments in the game honestly. Not sure what 1 and 2 are, but it’s one of them.
Ganondorf - what a swordsman. "'Link'...I look forward to meeting him." Classic swordsmen =)

Something I just realized is that a rendition of a part of Zelda's Lullaby was played during the cutscene when she turns into the Light Dragon. The main part then plays after she is gone in the sky
and parts of her theme song are in the music for when you’re close by the light dragon, but they get covered up by the regular dragon motif! it sounds like she’s trying to remember and break out but she can’t :(
Not only that, but it was played with the erhu, the main instrument which represents the dragons! Although they probably didn't plan for this since the dragon motif was made back in BOTW, but I find it fits extremely well that the erhu sounds incredibly voice-like knowing what happened to Zelda. Almost like her humanity is still somewhere in there trying to get out through the melody
