    I promised to do more recent songs, here's the most recent one-You Don't Want To Get You One Of Those. It's hard to find enough time just for now, but somehow I managed to pull it off the day before yet another business trip. I hope you like it. Pavel.

    If you arch your wrist forward on the first c chord it's not so tricky! Learnt from watching my dad and a lot of the players he worked with who make it look.easy. it's all wrist position

    Thanks to your videos, Pavel, I decided to purchase a guitar and learn songs from you. I played guitar for a while when I was young and you inspired me to get back to it. Thank you very much and keep doing this great videos! :)

      So great to read that Martin! It also makes ME want to play guitar more, so it's a two-way street and I'm extremely proud to be a part of it. As Bob Dylan said it, the highest purpose of art is inspiration.

    I was trying to play along and realized that your guitar is tuned down 1/2 step (to E flat/D sharp), so I just tuned my guitar that way.

    • @PavelFomenkov
      @PavelFomenkov  3 года назад

      That's the way you do it! Yes, I think it's much better to learn it properly in 1/2 down tuning and then improvise.

    Excellent as always! I'm wondering if you've thought about doing Dream of a Drowned Submariner, one of my favorites from Privateering.
    Keep up the good work man, love the videos!

    • @PavelFomenkov
      @PavelFomenkov  7 лет назад +1

      Hello Eirik, of course I'd love to do as many songs as I can and Submariner is one of them indeed. As long as I would find enough time I will do it, because I love doing it anyway. Thanks for watching!

    Just want you to know that this video has open up my approach and really got me out of a rut, thank You! And I really like your guitar! Is that an advanced jumbo?

  • @Gordman

    Awesome, you really know your theory, would love a full transcription one day?

  • @DogwithtwoBones

    Thabk you for this, saved me a lot of time. Good lesson and I understand the authenticity of the drop tuning but would have been easier for me maybe others too in standard. Anyway thanks again!

    • @PavelFomenkov
      @PavelFomenkov  6 лет назад

      I thought about doing it in standard tuning, but it didn’t work for me at all. It just doesn’t sound good in standard tuning, so you kinda have to take this step of retuning your guitar in order to play it properly.

      It's driving school. It doesn't take all the time, but man, it takes so much brain power that I can't focus on videos just for now. It's almost finished though, so I hope to do something next week.

    • @lechu4829
      @lechu4829 6 лет назад

      I am trying to learn it on my own but it will be easier with your help. And I like watching you playing the guitar :) So you are instructor ? :)

    • @PavelFomenkov
      @PavelFomenkov  6 лет назад

      Nope, I'm a student of course! Done With Bonaparte is on the list and one of the "next ones" for sure.

    Pavel! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I've been looking for this and what I found perplexed me because of the tuning. Tommy doesn't use many alternate tunings and this isn't alternate, but it's definitely dropped. Your instruction here is spot on and I should be able to pick this up tonight. Thanks.
    I'm an avid Tommy guy and have been to 3 of his guitar camps. Have you been to any? The next one is May 2018 in Scotland which is about as close as you're gonna get. I can't go because I've been unemployed here for a while. Anyway I highly recommend it!

      I was just trying to play along with this version. The guitar is tuned down 1/2 step lower than usual. I've seen Tommy Emmanuel 3 times.
