I bought this hammock earlier in the year. OneTigris have upgraded the tree straps, they're now thicker with many more loops. The carabiners look bigger and sturdier too. Everything else looks identical as far as I can see.
Thanks for the review. I bought this hammock based on your look at it, as well as @Lonewolf 902's review and a few others. It's solid, and my gripes are the same as yours. If OneTigris makes both the bugnet and the cover completely removable it would be next level. I only made a few changes: I replaced the ridgeline with Zing-It cord for more structural strength, looped around the suspension ropes and added a taut line hitch to make it adjustable. As for the straps . . yeah, they need to be wider and have more loops. I also ordered some GM Climbing rappel rings (25KN) from Amazon and I'm going to experiment using them (with a Garda hitch) with the straps and maybe with some Zing-It cords, too, to see which one works better.
Great looking hammock. I'm from the UK, so have a bit of loyalty towards DD Hammocks (their tarps are so good), but this hammock is questioning that loyalty.... a bit. This really is a hammock for all seasons. And that extra zippable cover you showed at the end is a great idea. I guess it could stand in as a 'tarp' cover when you want to go light, or if you know it's not going to rain (in the UK, almost impossible to predict). Think I might press the button on this one. Also watched your onetigris topquilt review. Equally useful. Thanks for making the effort.
Excellent review. Lonewolf902 review's a lot of Onetigris as well as pomoly gear, but I think he's in their back pocket, because he doesn't seem to ever come up with many negatives on their products. I place very little credence in his reviews because of that. You tell it like it is, and I thank you for that.
Yeah, kinda disapointed by Lonewolf902. He went from 100% onetigris to basically NEVER working with them ever again, because he got into an argument with the owners. Like... I just want an honest review! Are the products bad now ? or were they never good to begin with?
This hammock is great no need for a diagonal lay this is ur bed side sleep rest ect just draw ur knees to ur chest an chill rest well this hammock has being my bed for a few months never had a bad rest

@@woodlandsnorth I emailed OneTigris to check as it looked longer to me, even though they say 8.5ft on the website. Turns out the ridgeline is 8.5ft long but the actual hammock is just under 10ft.
Tell us what you think about the Kompound Hammock!
Will do.

Good to hear I like when companies upgrade their product. How has it held up?
