I need this. Really, I do need it. I can only use my C200 on my shoulders and aggressively use stabiliser in post for so long. Sure, I know I would still need to use stabilisation but at least the footages will look much clearer with less motion blur if I use my C200 with this Movi Pro.

Would you need some type of a support system for the weight?

Depends how long you are planning to lift it, if you are doing it all day you might need a support system. The new ring is a stand and allows for you to set it down, which is nice.
