Your top 10 is pretty awesome! I particularly appreciate the fact that you included teams or groups in the rankings, rather than just focusing on singular figures! Your choices are really great and it's almost similar to mine other than I lack the Warhammer stuff lol
Cheers buddy! There was so much released last year, it seemed a shame to not try and show more. There was so much of the warhammer stuff, there could be a separate list lol
Yeeaah! Cheers Steven, I'm glad you agree, I knew not everyone would. I think they're sadly under appreciated and I don't think they sold as well as I think they deserve. Toys Alliance are utilising the buck for a number of releases this year, so I'm definitely interested in checking them too. But I just love the Tron-like look of the Gheists and Ved
Great list buddy!! Love top tens and have been excited to see yours. I totally forgot about Steiner. I loved that figure. Chopped mine up for a custom that failed. You did a fantastic job in 22! Im sure youll have another great year in 23 (now). Havea great weekend my friend!!
Thanks Gunnar! T'was a challenging year, my son turned one earlier this month, so he's at least getting to the age where he's not just a blob of a baby anymore lol I'm finding figures that I completely forgot about, it's crazy how much was released. Hope all is good mate, catch up soon!
For me in no particular order: big devil (Diablo - I know it’s 1/10 but works perfect against grey knights) Bjorn, Crowe, Jack/Argus, and the suited assassin which had to be the most fun playing with and customizing. I’m sure there’s more but those come off the top of my head!
Oooh that Diablo figure looks really great. I've been trying to figure out how to incorporate it into my figure budget! Bjorn would've been on my list too, but I decided to leave out the mechs this time round. Such an awesome figure though. Dude, I totally forgot about the suited assassin! Really great for customs. Thanks for sharing some of your faves mate
I’m so glad you included the Boss Fight figures. I want them to do some sci-if (and they occasionally threaten to), but they haven’t pulled the trigger. I buy their blanks like an addict for my customs. Maybe the more we talk about them, the more willing to take risks they’ll be.
Well, Boss Fight just announced new Court of the Dead figures, so that's a nice coincidence. They look awesome as well. I can't remember if they've released their improved blanks yet. Would be really interesting if they move into sci-fi!
@@SkellywagsTV yes! Sorry for the delay. I’m thinking BFS bought their Dime novel from the same factory that makes Marauders, and now these are also from that factory. Either way, I’m really excited for the phase 2 hacks blanks, awesome improvements to my favourite customising base.
So you did eventually remove those bolt shells from Calgar! As a 1/12 collector apart from the 40k line, it was really interesting to see the year from a 1/18 collector’s perspective. I’m surprised Mr Garadon got a higher spot than the GKs. He’s that good, huh? Well, mine’s on his way now and it’s mostly your fault :D
Ahh yes, I got them off! Used a hairdryer and got it off, so I can plug it in to either hand now. There was so much 40k I feared it would dominate my top 10! I think I'll do another vid for joytoy 40k though, but a bit different. Haha yes, Garadon just got it! It was a surprise to me too, but I factored in playability and play time. Spent way more time messing about with the big fella! The GK release was superb though. We definitely got spoilt for choice with 40k last year
Haha I bloody love that bike and figure! The base buck is just so nice to pose. The Omanga releases this year are utilising the same buck, so I'm really looking forward to those. Cheers bud!
Steiner stayed part of my desk figures pretty much all year. I took him out for a little bit, but he quickly made it back and I ended up buying another! Lol
Great top ten!, I didn't know the Bossfight Court of the Dead were high quality, I gave it a pass because I didn't like the faces. Now I wonder if Bossfight will release more Court of the Dead in the future.
You know what? That was my thoughts exactly, when I first got them out the box. Gethsemoni in particular. I thought she looked nothing like the artwork. It eventually grew on me though, as I was really impressed with the overall outcome of both figures. Funny you mention new Court of the Dead figures coming out, Boss Fight have just announced them, and they look fantastic!
I think I'm tied between HACKS Blue and Purple versions of The Phantom. I definitely intend to try to complete my roster of 1/18 Pulp heroes and villains from that company. Except maybe Zorro. He wouldn't exactly fit in any 20th or 21st Century Stories. At least Tarzan has the excuse that he stopped aging and Jane is now immortal.
Nice! The Phantom was a great release. Was in my top 10 at one point. You getting any of the Flash figures? Boss Fight just announced new Court of the Dead figures
@@SkellywagsTV Trying to, yes. Just got the two female phantoms and phantom on horse. Guess that leaves 1600s Phantom and the wolf that is in the minifigures pack since I'm sure it would scale w/ 1/18 ok.
Yeeaaahh buddy! A kindred spirit! Bloody awesome figures. I could not put them down. Looking forward to the new Omanga coming out utilising the Gheist buck this year as well.
Haha I nearly had Bjorn on the list, but decided to keep mecha out this time round. Sad really, as Space Wolves are my given faction. Ragnar nearly made it, but Tor really won out for me. If I did this list earlier last year, Death Company would've made an appearance too. Soooo many great releases, even just with 40k
Pia-club is the best for Acid Rain, but you can also get them from BBTS. Check the description of this video, there's a few shops i list i normally use. Plus their affiliates!
Piss on a nod if you're not accepting that jazzware is putting out at least one honorable mention in your putty list. The master chief is bleeding fabfuckingtastic.😝
I wanted to start collecting acid rain figures but i just cant justify the fascination the creator has with the devil. I thought about just painting over the devil logos and staying away from the figures with demonic lore but really i cant support him when that is his inspiration. I cant justify buying it even if i think the other aspects are cool. Its sad really…. People have a fascination with evil and dont even see it.
I was not aware of the ties with evil etc. The lore tends to be more about the differing factions in the post apocalyptic world. The Annex 2179 stuff is more futuristic stuff though
Would love to paint Warhammer miniatures too but so much of that praises what is demonic too. I need to pray more so i am not disheartened that I cant partake. I would rather follow Jesus, He has better for me i just cant always see it right away.
Warhammer actually has a faction, the Grey Knights that specifically deal with daemons. I wouldn't be too caught up in that stuff anyway mate, it's all fantasy at the end of the day

Banger of a list Mate !!! Great job.

Well done. I agree with your #1. I'm still playing with my Strength of Ved and Barghest and Gheists . Coolest designed toys of 2022. 👍

Steiner is a great call, amazing figure.
Oh yes! I knew immediately that I'd love Steiner, but was really surprised that he managed to keep my attention all year

BTW--I can't remember: do you have the Phantom Teams A+B?
Thanks Sir Leon! Was a tough list to compile. No, I don't have the ARW pantom teams
Pretty decent list bro. I didnt buy'em but i always liked those puffa jacket graffiti guys.

Gregson is my favourite of the year.
A damn good choice! That Dark Source trio release was killer

CT were 2022? otherwise GKT🥰
Yup CT were about 8 months back! Crazy how much has been released since. GKTs are splendid!
Where are the Goku 1/18 figures ? That's #1...
Lol haven't picked any of those up to be fair. Aren't they a bit bigger though? I may pick up a couple see how they are in hand
