Great reaction, Squirrel. II love this recent performance, as much as Chantal Janzen does, because she was already here as a judge ten years ago when Amira made her very first audition. The aria by Catalani she sang during this show is really difficult.
By the way, the heraldic motto of the squirrel's emblem is “Quo non ascendet” (What heights will he not scale), which fits Amira perfectly...

Yeah the full length video is fun to watch. Amira interacting with the judges. They are really pleased to see her again.
The opera piece is Ebben? Ne andro lontana from La Wally. Wally is threatening to run away from home over a thwarted love affair. Amira had to trim it to fit production limits, so she added a couple of extra vocal twiddles to give the audience their monies worth. The version of it she sings to close her 18th birthday concert is a tad longer. That is available from her Web shop and I highly recommend it, there are some beautiful pieces on it.

Only thing about judges, Chantel and Dan were two of the original judges. Near the end you see her father. It is Amira, always beautiful
I refer to this Aria as the turtle song. Amira sang it to her pet turtles, who were quite enthralled, when she was a little girl. It wasn't until Amiras "On My Own" concert did she perform this Aria for the first time in public. A favorite of hers. The last song of a Phenomenal Event, of Epic Proportions. A CD I treasure. Especially in these evil times. An hour and half of pure Heavenly Beauty.
