Hope the rest of your Sunday was as peaceful as the time you spent on your porch. Rattle tales and acorns falling on the roof. Priceless! Glad to see that windshield go on. That means that cooler weather is drawing near in your spot on this earth. Here, we may have to turn on the furnace, in the mornings, in the next few days. Lows dropping into the 40's. Cold for old folks, like us. Prayers for those in the mountains of NC, as it's usually cooler - COLDER up there. Prayers for the people in Florida, as well. May God have mercy on all. Who woulda thought all that extra weight was hiding in your bike. No wonder you wanted to strip out that unneeded stuff. Hope you and Charly have a Monday just as you would prefer it to be. Enjoy, to the max, all that makes you happy. God Bless. Godspeed.
I’m sure you’re glad the windshield is on and just eliminating that extra weight will make a difference. A rattle that you can’t find is aggravating to say the least. It’s kinda a pet peeve of mine having something rattling in my vehicle. Haha, the dogs having a relaxing and playful day. Have a blessed day and stay safe!
Rattles would keep me awake while Charly drove. Sleep is more important than food when you’re driving trucks. I didn’t start getting good sleep on the road until we stopped buying freightliner.
Great job on the Windshield and extra wire removal 👌. Glad your Bike is alot lighter from getting rid of 20lbs of deadweight 🏋️♂️. Hope you had s good ride afterwards 😎🏍️. Have a great and safe Monday Brad and Charly 🙏✝️💛. Thanks again for the Flashlight 🔦 Brother 🙏.
I can only imagine. I had a sliding noise in my car that I couldn't locate for a couple of weeks that almost drove me nuts. Fortunately I resisted the urge and didn't disassemble the center console in the dashboard. Finally I figured out that it was a pair of sunglasses that I had absentmindedly put away in small ceiling compartment above the rear view mirror that was sliding every time the car turned at a crossroad.🤣
So you understand the aggravation! Imagine being in your vehicle 24/7 for weeks on end. The little noises slowly take apart your patience and reassemble it into insanity.
What a complicated MESS hidden within your bike. Problems waiting to happen. Lucky you have the patience to untangle that mess. Your pups are happy. Some like toys, some don't. My dog will only play with toys that dispense treats. Happy Day!
Steve, I hope you’ll be ok when that storm passes through. My mom is down in Arcadia in a dementia care facility. Arcadia appears to be in the heavy outer band of the storm that’s coming.
@@bctruck Thanks Brad! I have pre-cut plywood panels for every window, but nowhere near the energy to install them. We're closer to the east coast than the west, so that's some help (I hope!). Saying prayers for your Mom and all in the storm zone.
That was a lot of weight with those 2 speakers. Just looking at them I knew they were heavy, but not 10 lbs. each. Must make a lot of difference in the center of gravity as high up as they were.
Kenworths were the Cadillac. I drove Pete’s a few times, but I didn’t like them. Cabs are way too skinny. No keg room or belly room. People bought Pete’s because they couldn’t afford a kenworth. W900’s are twice the truck Pete’s were. Now, all of them are crap.

Always thought radios on motorcycles were for posers. Just my opinion. Having said that, my deaf-ass would never have been able to hear one anyway over the road noise.

I’m so glad I got those speakers off the bike. That and the 16 mikes of mire should lighten the bike up by 25 pounds at least.
@@bctruck In a top heavy situation I suspect it feels like 50 lbs were removed.

I just rode it. Noticeable difference.
Now there's room for a bacon frying pan!
I wrap the exhaust in bacon. It takes roughly 20 miles to make a bacon Sammie.
Thumbs up
Did you ever have a Pete? I heard they were the "Cadillac" of trucks. That is if you could afford one.

wont air come through the ferring and out them speaker holes
There’s no way for air to get into the fairing.
So did the cruise control start working again?
I don’t know yet. I’m gonna mail some boxes today. I’ll know this afternoon.
Did you ever have a western star? 👍🏽😊❤️🇺🇸
No, but Jim and Bev did. Jim (r.i.p. ) and Bev bought my freightliner ers, then a few years. Later traded it in on a western star.

I much prefer the sound of the wind/engine/road.
