    Nice explanation. Currently I'm working for the maintenance of Gas Dehydration Unit. So it will more helpful to understand the process system.

    Nice descriptive video, please add short description of instrumentation (PCV,LIC,PIC,TT,TIC)

    Very useful explanation, thanks! However, I find a "normal" voice much easier to understand.

    Thank you again for this video. Huge work!!
    There is something that bothers me. Why do we have oil in the Rich Glycol? I thought that the oil has been separated from the gas through separator before even going to compressor, so the fluid which enter the Glycol Gas Dehydration System is just natural gas.

    • @schoolofengineering1017
      @schoolofengineering1017  4 года назад +1

      The separator do separate oil from the gas but it is not 100% separation due to the pressure, temperature, retention time, etc.

      Glycol is not oil..it is unstable... it's soluble in water aggressively and non chain hydro carbon...
      Oil is stable but it is insoluble in water... simply chain compounds as bond angle in chain.. ☺️

    Lean glycol... Is it MEG,DEG and TEG? or is it mixed glycol?

    • @schoolofengineering1017
      @schoolofengineering1017  3 года назад +1

      Lean glycol is water-free glycol. Water is removed via the regenerator unit. Glycol used is typically triethylene glycol (TEG), diethylene glycol (DEG), mono-ethylene glycol (MEG). Only single type of glycol is typically used.

    Glycol filter used activated carbon?

    • @schoolofengineering1017
      @schoolofengineering1017  2 года назад

      Moisture is absorbed by glycol (liquid phase) in the form of triethylene glycol (TEG), diethylene glycol (DEG), ethylene glycol (MEG), etc. The moisture rich/saturated glycol will be regenerated (i.e. moisture removed) using the reboiler.
