  • This Capoeira practitioner is an all-star in the pillow fighting league. This exceeded my expectations completely. Let us know if this exceeded your expectations. That Macacao in the beginning was brilliant!

They score this basically by hits, but there is so nuance. Hit to head = 1 point, spining hit to head = 3 points, take down with a hit = 5 points, hit to the legs that breaks the opponent's balance but not enough to take him down = 1 point, hit so hard you pillow (not its handles) breaks = 3 points. As per current rules, blocked hits still score, you can only nullify the opponent's hit by dodging it.

That’s actually a good thing to practice for the simulation of using a backpack, briefcase or duffel bag in self defense. The capoeira movements also work well in this because the slaves in Brazil originally had to avoid getting hit by whips/sticks/blunt objects so those evasive movements transfer well in this.

lol when I was like 15 I challenged my friend to a pillow fight and dude hit me so hard it knocked me down 😂, if you’ve never done a full force pillow fight you should try it some time it’s brutal but fun af

Yep. I once gave my cousin a concussion during a pillow fight. I feel so bad about it still.
