Drif0r, I think going over maps in depth will give you a lot of quality details to go over. I know that knowing a map extremely well, including spawns, head glitch spots, and routes helps me out a lot. If I were to be ignorant to map details, I know I wouldn't do nearly as well.

The In Depth show is transitioning to tips these days because ALL OF THE STATS that available have been covered. Pretty much nothing is left so I'm just taking requests or making what suits me.
Here is a slight modification to the recommended class: Perk 1: Flak Jacket Perk 2: Fast hands and Scavenger (for longevity and would allow you to use the same class and tactics without swapping your weapons and to an extent your tactics) Perk 3: Extreme Conditioning (to quickly disengage from unfavorable gunfights) and Tac Mask Assault Shield Tac 45 (I used the Executioner but I found that it wasn't a versatile sidearm (the Five Seven wasn't either for me)- so I combined the lethality of the Executioner and the range of the Five Seven and got the Tac 45 as the intermediate) C4 (to take on multiple enemies) Perk 2 Greed Perk 3 Greed Extra tips: Always listen for reloading sounds or call-outs that's your cue to attack them, you would have a small window to do this so be quick. Lure your enemies into rooms where they would not be able to see you- once they follow you draw out your sidearm and kill them Watch out for: semtex, crossbows- I have tried quickly planting my shield as soon as I got the 'STUCK!!' message hopefully someone would test this, ninjas (knives and tomahawks), shotguns Effective in SND, TDM- go to low-traffic areas and Domination

Really happy that you're posting Assault Shield content again, but I feel that this video would benefit from a side-by-side comparison to illustrate the speed of this technique you're showing us here. To tell you the truth, after finally getting a chance to watch the whole thing through, I'm not really seeing much difference. The shield drop animation is what causes the slow swap of Black Ops 2, and it's still very much there. A follow up showcasing the equipment canceling method would be great.
Drift0r, i tryed this with the exact class and i combined this with your flanking tips and hunching tips and i when 55-9 on high jacked and i got a swarm
I've found this too. Had someone with the DSR shoot straight through my shield. Wasn't even a lag comp thingy, because neither of us were moving. The killcam just showed him casually aiming at my head a blowing a bullet straight through my shield. I was looking directly at him as it happened, so there's no way the shield was out of position.
Drift0r, you can also do an episode of how to shield bash faster with the assault shield. I'm a PS3 player so I don't know the xbox buttons well. You have to press the knifing button (R3 or O), then press the button to deploy the shield (R1) and quickly press the knifing button again. It will be like hit, deploy, hit. But obviously, you don't deploy the shield, just do the animation.

I ve got the same class but i use the executioner with long barrel and i add scavenger, another thing is that its easier to let the enemy shoot you in the shield, and when they reload you pull out the executioner, it works at least for me
Drift0r I have a really good idea for In-Depth. There is a trick for using snipers on CoD, when you shoot then reload, and before the reaload ends you swap weapons twice quickly an then shoot again with a bolt-action sniper rifile you can skip the animation and shoot faster.

Since then I have put a video on my channel showing how to swap weapons faster, except that it uses a different method to the one shown here. I might try this stutter stepping, but I don't see it being as fluent as equipment canceling.
Do a sprint jump crouch method to go through a window. It helps a lot when you a trying to get away and you don't have to go through the animation nor have to waste a perk on dexterity.
Drift0r, I'm glad you brought up the riot shield because I have a question or a theory for you to try out. Setting; RAID, TDM; I was using the LSAT with laser sight, stock, and FMJ. Did fair at first then got a triple kill/ final kill, and when i looked at the final kill cam, I noticed that most of the shots were going through the riot shied placed in front of the three players. So my question is: Can you shoot through the riot shield if you use FMJ on a gun?
You click it then you click the switch weapon button (Y or Triangle) so you start to sprint on you screen then stop. It's called stutter stepping. It's like momentarily sprinting then stopping.
I haven't done much research, but from what I have seen, you seem to be correct. I really don't get how they play on such low sensitivity. I play on 11, which is only 7 on old CoDs, but I have tried to play down where they play, and I just can't do it.
There is another type of speed swap with shock charges where one would swap their weapon, prime the shock charge, and press y to cancel the animation very quickly.

I like the Remington shotgun and shield class. One tip: put explosive equipment near vehicles or red barrels. I got a triple kill with a bouncing Betty that exploded two cars killing 3 people at once in s and d. Just a quick tip.
you are constantly swapping when near them and because the animation doesnt fully register for them, it still blocks the bullets. So, when you do actually switch to a gun you're part of the way to getting your secondary out so what they see is shots essentially coming out of your sheild
An idea for the next episode: I sometimes see some people reloading and then just shooting while being in the middle of the reloadtime, but they didn't reallly reloadcancel by swapping weapons twice or starting to sprint, I play on PC, is this just here or do consoles have this too? So if they had it too, what about an episode about reloadcancelling super-fast? :)
Well in his riot shield episode, he said something about the weird geometrical properties of the riot shield, thus sometimes allowing bullets to seem like they are going through the shield. There is the visual part, and there is the code part, what actually counts. I am not completely sure, maybe drift0r can clarify that a bit. Hope it sort of helps! :)
My Assault sheild setup is the Shield (Obviously), Lightweight/flak jacket, fast hands, Tac mask, dual executioners, C4, and concussion grenade. I often dominate in S&D with this setup.
Sometimes I use shield, any pistol with the knife attachment, and fast hands in order to walk up to someone and swap to the gun and melee then extremely fast.

got one its with the hunter if u go prone just in time near a wall it will stop targeting you, hit a teammate, hit the wall, damage you or kill you. maybe its just me but rarely hits and kills me and all i play is hardcore
Have you ever tried to use the Executioner? It's a skill weapon that works only in the closest of ranges. You can get a one hit kill while you ADS at a range of maybe 5 M. Beyond that, it can take the entire mag to down a single guy. I've even witnessed instances where I had perfect aim and sprayed the entire 5 rounds, and the enemy lived.
When i was playing zombies,I saw the type 25's green thingy on the sight flashing when i looked at a zombie.I dunno if that is the the case,it may just be a glitch do to lag or something.
hm this leaves a few questions i have unanswered. I was facing off with a remington with my shield and it shot straight through. I went into theater mode and watched again from both perspectives, but on both views I was protected by my shield and the shot gun blast went straight through... I was wondering if sometimes the shield just doesn't work?
i use the last shotgun that has 4 rounds burst it is good at spamming and it is basically upgraded excutioner except that u dont swap and draw the shotgun as fast

I used to use this class with kap 40 , it works really well . With kap 40 you can take multiple enemys at once and even at longer range

Julie, the shield was in the multiplayer reveal on IGN's channel. I just saw it earlier today.

Dropshot vs jumpshot, or doing a revisit of some of the changed guns.
Do an in-depth on the lag between character models and cameras. Even offline your camera goes around the corner before the character model does.

You can also have perk 3 greed and add dexterity to shorten the sprint delay when you fail
I had a similar tactic on MW3. Shoot with the shotgun, then switched to akimbo pistols. Very useful to grind your way to Damage Proficiency

You can also do an 'insta swap.' This works on any weapon. To do this you: press (triangle/y) (tactical grenade button) (triangle/y)

this was explained in lag comp, there bullets are like shooting 5 bullets in the space of one through lag comp (not all the time)

I would honestly like it if you could hold a weapon with the shield. Only pistols and maybe SMGs but i think it'd be pretty cool.

maybe you already know this but if you are sprinting and you try to throw a lethel when you have no lethals equipped you recover super super fast
you can also wait for them to like try and run around or reload and use b23r dual wield

Have you already done a sensitivity in-depth? I can't seem to find a good balance for my AR sensitivity and my Sniper sensitivity.
EXACTLY it cancels out the delay of the riot shield being switched but not the animation of it being switched out by a few milliseconds
