А почему нельзя было сначала срезать верхние ящики, а потом было бы легче поднимать и подставлять пустые в низ. 😊
И ещё один вопрос, для чего потом прикреплять решётку из верхнего ящика в нижние? Ониже теперь не станут на нем тянуть.

(how) do you prevent the queen from laying eggs into the comb that shall be harvested later?

There is no need to prevent because the queen lays eggs down ward in the newly constructed combs. As the bees hatch out above, the workers backfill the combs with honey. So generally the upper portion is honey and the bottom is the brood. therefore the brood nest is never opened or disturbed . That is my understanding. :)
