I'm 52yo , but I actually had to search RUclips to see and hear the original by Papa, guess he's not big in Sweden. ( when I first saw this, when it came out) Since then I've obvi saw original, but I understand fully why Ronnie wanted to do this one. The lyrics are too deep to leave in an uptempo kinda adolescent hit song, because of arrangement to fit the hits. He does that with his own songs too. Wonderful reaction, big hug.

I appreciate your honest reaction! The first time I heard this song it took me about two minutes in until I really started enjoying it. I was very hesitant for the first verse If I would like it. Especially after “watch the world burn”, those were huge footsteps to follow. And now it’s one of my favorite songs and every time I hear it, I can’t help but to cry.
Great that you were honest enough to admit you were sceptic and didn't really give it a chance before to fully hear it. Very original, very unique, you do it very well. Sometimes it takes a bit to get the whole picture of things and the totally can change us 180 degrees. Keep on doing the work. You earned another sub.

I dont consider this a " cover" at all . This is Ronnie taking , the exact same lyrics as the original PR version , and turn it into , a totally new song / experience . Ronnie is a master off creativity , and vocal range .
This version is soo much better than the original. The lyrics fit the slower tone. The lyrics have a lot more meaning in this version. The lyrics didnt fit in the original version. It was far to heavy for the words being sung in the original.
As a FIR fan since their first album 12 or so years ago. Their heavy stuff has always been good, the switch to adding rap was an adjustment but I like that now, but this cover...I just can't enjoy it as a fan of the original version. The lyrics themselves are meaningful, but this just feels like Ronnie took the lyrics, realized what they were about, and intentionally turned it into a "more emotional" version to get more views

I didn't listen to the song before and didn't manage to hear what you were talking about until listening to the original. But I did like your feedback on the song.

I love FIR and my husband does not. I think that Ronnie's voice makes him feel things he would rather not feel.
