Omega is the best movement out there. Least amount of friction inside the movement. Omega is the timekeeper of the Olympics ffs. Rolex is the most meticulously made watch overall, as they even mix their own gold, and thread their own screws. Both are amazing
So much wrong with what you said…everyone’s got an opinion from watching some reels. Omega being the timekeeper of the Olympics has zero to do with their mechanical movements. Plenty of brands (including omega) create their own proprietary gold alloys. Rolex is not the most meticulously made watch, not even close, not by a mile. That being said, their QC is excellent.

Big difference between Omega and Rolex, yes Omega are time keeper for Olympics and actually innovate and manufacture the timing equipment. Rolex on the other hand are Official time keepers for F1, but only for how long the race runs for, the lap timing equipment (the critical timekeeping equipment) is made by another company.
Speaking the absolute truth. Owning both Rolexes and Omegas, I have to say that Omega movements ARE better (longer power reserve, double barrel designs and beautiful finishes) Omegas built with those movements will stay accurate for longer when you aren't wearing it. Rolex movements start actually getting significantly slower after about 24 hours of not wearing the piece. Omegas indeed stay accurate for longer. I also find Omega pieces far more interesting.
It's interesting you say that because that is actually the difference between the testing for Omega vs Rolex. Rolex only test their accuracy over a short range of the power reserve whilst Omega test theirs over the majority of the power reserve
@ALL-il1sw yeah the Rolex will lose about 5-10 minutes a month when you don't wear it often or stretch too long between wears. It's more accurate when you wear the piece all the time. None of my Omegas have this problem.
