everything you brought up about this watch was right on the money. i've the black dial and white markers with gold outline, gold bezel numbers, and i love it. as a longtime mechanical watch snob and watch restorer, i've gotten away from mechanicals for my own use simply because of the cost of servicing, and the constant either watchwinders or need to reset...or usually on the watchwinder AND resetting. as you say, this looks supercool, very very light/comfortable, movement really hits those markers consistently, and extreeeemely accurate. this has become about my very favorite watch out of some 40 different divers, mostly all automatics and Swiss/Japanese and up to the $1500 mark. none of the QC (quality control) issues of seiko misalignment, etc. if you like divers, get it.
It's one of the most legible watch ever and pretty cute too. Let's call it Tortoise. Imagine the crown as the head of the tortoise and the 4 "legs" sticking out. It's one of those designs with good wrist presence without being overwhelming.
I love all my Citizen Watches. I recently bought this in the Blue color way. Like all Citizen Watches it wears very well and light. What attracted me to this was it look reminiscent to the Luminox seal diver which I have but this has the advantage of the Eco-Drive and the Lum is perfect even if it is not tritium but love the fact no battery change unlike the Luminox. Thanks for the review! P.S. I always where two watches an analog and a smart watch… after all “One is none and two is one”…always have a backup on everything. Thanks again!
Got this green model 8 months ago and I am still in love with it! When I look at it I always forget to read the time LOL it is unique and nostalgic at the same time. Wears very very light and looks perfect despite my small wrist. It's rough looking and very cute. I made the right choice

I have the black face with gold accents. Absolutely love it! Super light and wears better than any other watch I have. No lugs make it wear great on the wrist but thicker NATOs likely won't work.
You can fit a thin NATO or Zulu strap. NATO strap isn't needed because this watch grips the strap very securely once you get the spring bars seated; it will NOT slip on the strap ... EVER! Zulu thin strap with a one-piece buckle is the deal for diving if you're a serious diver. An olive drab strap would work well with this particular green-themed watch.
@@harpomarx7777 yes. Single pass military straps are less prone to failure and loss of the watch. I do not like the forest green of this strap. Probably the watch would look better with an olive/khaki green strap. The one it comes with makes it look like a toy watch or a Casio.
I purchased this one, at a significant discount. It is not my favorite shade of green, but I removed the strap and put it on a black single-pass nylon strap. It makes it look more tactical and appealing. The dial is very dark, almost black. The BN0150 has a larger, more legible dial, but this one is nice too. I wish the minute hand had an orange outline, like many Citizen divers, and the full lume version of this. The watch is very light and wears fine on my 17.7cm/7in wrist. the case feels very nice, like some light stone. From a distance, the case may look like it's made of polycarbonate. Probably this is a watch that looks less expensive than its price, but that on the wrist feels and looks great. I prefer the dark grey case to the light grey of the original version. I can use it for spearfishing, it matches my wetsuit, and the bezel is easy to operate. The case seems very scratch resistant, and I put on a tempered glass 29mm or 28mm diameter screen protector, that fits great. I would have preferred a military green for this, like the Ecozilla, but with a black strap, this green is toned down. To some people, this may look a bit like a Casio. But also this is an unusual and comfortable design. Pretty unique, and I like it on my wrist more than I expected it to.
Rob - feeling a bit cheated here with this brief review. I’m surprised you didn’t talk more about the case shape and style. This reissue is a very unique diver in a crowd of lookalikes, and would have enjoyed your comparisons to turtles, tunas and maybe another square (Bell & Ross).
I've got the Black faced variant with gold numbers on the bezel. It has quietly worked its way into my top 3 rotation. Also my night watch due to crazy lume factor

Just purchased the standard version for $180, nice lightweight titanium watch, wears alot smaller than the size would indicate. In a sea of dive watches it's a little different and at the price I paid, excellent value.

I got this model based on this video. I wanted this watch, but didn't really want a camo pattern face. It turns out that specifically the green model has a camo pattern that is so dark as to be near-invisible, as seen in the video. Probably even darker in-person. Works for me.

The series was supposed to have been inspired by the 1982 1300m diver which had day and date windows (no solar). I am partial to the BN0220-16E in this new series (grey with orange highlights) which looks closest to the original, and has a simple black dial rather than the camo pattern. Sapphire would have been a great addition to these models, but nevertheless ... I don't think these have been a big hit, largely because of the unusual styling. However, they DO grow on you every time you look at them, and the massive titanium block is a real draw. Given the massive discounts I am now seeing your video has prompted me to re-consider my initial opinion.
The super titanium MRK is NOT COATED. It has been given a SURFACE TREATMENT to harden the metal's case, or skin. You also need to learn how to use the article "an". The crown and case back are super titanium TIG, less harder than the case and bezel, by the way; that's why the color is different.

Diver watches are tool watches and the hence larger size usually for better legibility. Citizen does make smaller watches , you just have to do some research and find one. Otherwise Seiko makes a Solar dive watch in 38 mm both on rubber strap and bracelet .

Black dial is the easiest to read in water or at night. That is a key point even if the blue and the green are cooler of course

I wish Citizen would finally get that memo that we now like smaller watches. They have so many good watches that are just too big.
Funny I sent them a memo the other day saying please keep the bigger watches. With my 8" wrist the newer smaller watches look pathetic!

The majority of Citizen divers are small. Too small for my 8.5" wrist.
