Viki is such a good teacher, I'm going to be getting the pro stitcher w/art n stitch, I'm excited. I'll be able to quilt just by watching this tutorial, thank you viki. I met Viki a few years ago when I came to Utah and she's a doll!!!
Can you do a updated version of this great tutorial and keep the camera on the screen as you are giving the instructions so we can see what you are seeing and can see what functions you are using. Thanks for this informative tutorial.
I agree, a couple suggestions. First, use a tripod mounted camera. Second focus on screen closeups. Move the lighting to eliminate glare. As far as shots. Don't focus on a side shot showing you pressing a button on the screen. What we want to see is the screen, and the changes that occur when you do push a button. Cameras should be over your shoulder. Just remember in a training video, the machine is the star. Not you I am not buying "Vicky" I am buying the machine.
I am thinking of buying a machine and i have been searching for a great video to use the machine. You were so awesome and simple. I could follow you so easy. Thank you so much. Maxie Gunderson
This video is extremely helpful for me after just getting my prostitcher. I appreciate all these videos very very much. You do a great job and I am impressed with how you flip and grab those end clamps! 😀
Great job Vicki, loved the demonstration of how the Pro-Stitcher helps create the e2e designs. Loved that you were able to crop it and make the very bottom edge so neat. Thank you..
Can you please use a dark thread on this white top so I can see your stitches? It would also be nice if you used a top fabric that contrasts with the backing. Also, when you click things on Pro-Stitcher, can you slow down and show us where you are clicking? I am having a hard time following your instruction. I am interested in purchasing a HQ, but I would like to see more detailed instruction. Thanks.
Jennifer Farsh just watched this and yes they need to keep the camera on the screen as she is demonstrating so we can see what is happening and which buttons she is pushing..
This video is very helpful but I'd like a printed version too, so I can take it to my machine with me with a step-by-step set of instructions to follow. Have you got one?
I cannot following what you are doing on the computer screen. You should point out the buttons you are talking about. Also, contrasting fabric, thread, and backing would help to see what you are referring to. The material sounds interesting, but needs to be retaped with more clarity of terminology, and contrast between thread and fabrics.
Thanks for your videos. When pro stitcher say there’s a jump stitch does that mean I should tie off and pull bobbin up or does the machine do it automatically?
That depends Christine. Pro-Stitcher has a feature called Auto-Jump. You can find it in the ribbon under the Settings Tab. The default is 6 inches. Generally, at the end of a row you would tie-off, and then pull the bobbin up on the other side.
Hi Vicki, I would like to do borders on pro-stitcher, across and down, doing a picture quilt, don't won't to stitch over pictures. how to set the channel lock to do the borders
I am finding this frustrating because the screen isn't shown when she does something. Hopefully I can find a updated tute. Wish I had watched this first and I wouldn't have spent so much money on this!
So question--do you not baste the entire quilt on the backing first along the sides after the top side is done? Looks like you basted/secured the top and then down both sides for about 12 inches and then started the quilting.
Hi Mary Lou - We baste along the top, and then down the sides as far as we can reach in our throat space. This helps to keep the top of the quilt square. After advancing the quilt, we baste down the sides again, as far as possible in the throat space. I hope this helps.
Next, to give us an example, how about using a fabric that is different color from the back...everything looks out of focus white...I cannot see what you are talking about. I really want to see this.
HQ Studio Educators Babylock uses prostitcher, too. The buttons are in different places, but the lingo is the same;) I like your videos better than BL.
Go to handiquilter.me/locations/ to find a retailer in your area or to the Handi Quilter website www.handiquilter.com/ to find rulers or other products.
Thank you! Your tutorials are so easy to follow and your a great instructor ❤
I couldn't have quilted my quilt without this video! So well done! Thanks so much!
Eileen Bill can you quilt without doing edge to edge with this machine?
Viki is such a good teacher, I'm going to be getting the pro stitcher w/art n stitch, I'm excited. I'll be able to quilt just by watching this tutorial, thank you viki. I met Viki a few years ago when I came to Utah and she's a doll!!!
By far the best quilt I've ever seen.

This was very helpful as a potential buyer. Thank you!
So many great tips for a beginner Pro Stitcher user. I have already started my tips notebook.

Fabulous training video!
When she is working on the computer screen, keep the camera on the screen. I think this would make it easier to understand. Thank you.

Just wondering do you have any recommendations for thread? Brands, etc? Thank you 😊

You will find printed tutorials on our website at www.handiquilter.com/education/pro-stitcher/.

Those are some good suggestions. Thank you for your comments.

I agree. I have a hard time following the instructions and need to see the screen in more of the actions she is taking.

if you are using the default auto jump (machine say trim thread) do I have tie off and pull up the bobbin? I’m assuming it is doing that for me.

Has pro stitcher changed? My screen don’t have the tools you are showing

camera could be a lot better, I'd like to see the screen and exactly what you'e doing.
This is just the assistance I need! Is there a tutorial that reflects the latest version of ProStitcher?
i realize I am quite off topic but does anybody know a good website to watch newly released tv shows online ?
@Camden Mario flixportal =)
@Lucca Aldo thanks, I signed up and it seems like a nice service =) I really appreciate it !!
@Camden Mario glad I could help :)
I forgot to tap on the drop button, how can I realign my pattern to my needle?
Is there a way to advance the video to the part that one would like to get to?
Why doesn’t my channel lock stitch straight?
Can the pro stitcher be added to the HQ sixteen that I've had for several years?
I would like to see how to crop at the end of a quilt. I tried to but wasn't successful.
Can you use this with the 5 foot baby lock frame?
Good explanations but needed to be zoomed in on the screen to actually see what she did
Next, to give us an example, how about using a fabric that is different color from the back...everything looks out of focus white...I cannot see what you are talking about. I really want to see this.
I have green jumps across the pattern. How do I get rid of those?
Most likely, you need to do a horizontal P2P or "Point to Point" in repeat to connect your designs.
Cannot see the computer half the time either.

will the pro-stitcher work on a APQS machine?
The Pro-Stitcher is exclusive to Handi Quilter Machines.
HQ Studio Educators Babylock uses prostitcher, too. The buttons are in different places, but the lingo is the same;) I like your videos better than BL.
@@hqstudioeducators8520 And now Janome Quilt Maker Pro Series as well.
I found all the people who have money 👌
where can I order parts or rulers for pro stitcher
Go to handiquilter.me/locations/ to find a retailer in your area or to the Handi Quilter website www.handiquilter.com/ to find rulers or other products.
Selma,
You can order parts from your local retailer. If they don't have them they can order them. Or you can order directly from Handiquilter.com.
Your camera operator is doing a terrible job...most of what I wanted to see was out of focus.
