Hello! Could I make the transition from the basic player to the one with touchscreen and without the climate panel (the one in the video)? I did not find any video related to this matter. thank you!

I cannot seem to get the blue and pink cable out of the unit? How did you do it?

Thanks for the video...im thinking about replacing the navigator stereo unit you showed in this video by another one more modern (some aliexpress one to have android auto and applecarplay). I have 2 questions:
    - i guess that i should buy a new climate pannel because generic navigator units seem not to be compatible with this original navigator that hyundai installed in 1st generation of i40 cars. Right?
    - 2nd question: will the original rear camera work with other modern navigation units? or the conector of the original rear camera is hyundai specific and not compatible with other generic units.that support rear cameras?
    Thanks a lot

@@alliataleb8774 the only thing I found is that most probably the whole climate panel has to be changed too

Thank you so much for the video.
However, I would like to known, if you can help, about my situation. In Hyundai they 'tested' for battery drainage. I've got result that my head unit is draining battery only if my car is locked. Is there something else behind it, or I need to change my head unit as advised?
    Thank you in advance!

My unit is not powering up. I've checked fuses and taken out unit as shown here. Taken all connections out and put them back and reinserted it. It powers up every now and then then goes off with a message "The system turns off in 1 minute! Use the system with engine running. I've had hyundai check it and they just said it's knackered as they couldn't power it ip and quoted me £6000 yes £6k. Car is worth £7-8k. Apparently you can't put ant other unit in other than this one. Any advice I'm in UK ?

Do you mean that after removing the original stereo or navigator the entire car could not start even if you restored the original stereo/navigator???

@asanzperez No car starts fine. The media unit will power up if I disconnect battery. After 10 mins it will give me a message "This system turns off in one minute. Please use system with engine running" it will shut down and won't turn on again unless I disconnect battery.
