Landies must have more repurposed parts than any other vehicle on the planet. Another good reason to own one.

Absolutely the most important part of any off-road vehicle the cooling system is the life blood of the engine, along with the oil system. If you have both you have endeavored to give your engine the best chance of surviving the extremes of outback travel.
    Another informative video thanks Geoff.

Best thing I ever done to my 2a was exactly what you explained. I've never looked back.

Very timely report as I have been considering upgrading the radiator on our 2009 Defender 2.4 110.
The standard radiator is in good condition and fine in normal usage, but we tow a hybrid caravan and since fitting an Engineguard guage I have been monitoring the engine temperature and noting how it rises in hard usage.
The engine has an Allisport larger intercooler, which has certainly improved low down towing grunt.
I was considering fitting a 30% larger 55mm radiator from PWR or Allisport.
Is a larger radiator a good idea or should I just look at an upgraded core for the original radiator? Like your advice.

      Hi Michael
I would differently look at getting the radiator rebuilt or buying a good OEM one if possible. Kind regards, Geoff
