I dont speak a lick of german, yet, i still somehow understand like 80% of the words. Our languages are more similar than i thought. You guys kick ass never stop making music.
English is a germanic language so a lot of our words have german roots, the rest comes from french.
The main reason is that German has been adapting lot of English words into daily use lately. For many of the used words in this song there are German equivalents, but in today's sociolects of younger people mainly, many German words are being replaced with English ones (which many Germans dislike, btw.).
@@unsichtbaer Why? It's just sound. You don't hear people speak Latin when you're out and about do you? Latin has been long dead, and eventually so will English and German.
@@DTfan43 Latin is dead because the empire where it was spoken fell. As long as german and english speaking countries exist they wont die. And hopefully there wont be bullshit wars that would destroy countries like there used to be. German and english might be around until everything goes to s**t.
They put a lot of English words into their songs, even if a German word for it exists. E.g. fame would actually be "Ruhm" in German
