  • This DIY Dollar Tree Snow Globe is made from a plastic snow globe that can be found at the Dollar tree. The little figurine was also found there in the Christmas section. This DIY snow globe was given a frosted look and a light was added to illuminate it. This snow globe is a great neutral winter holiday decor item.

Hi, I don’t have plaster or spackling paste. What can I use for substitution? Thank you

Hi! I'm sorry but I really can't think of another way to achieve that look besides gluing some fake snow to the base with some Elmer's white glue. If any other crafters/viewers have ideas please share!

Did you cut a hole in the bottom so you can turn it on and off?

Hi! Sorry I should have shown this more clearly. The bottom of the snow globe (the "lid") twists on and off. Under the "lid" there is a plastic plug that holds the display in place. I drilled a hole in the plastic plug and attached my light to it. The lid or bottom of the snow globe can then be taken off to turn the light on and off. The 1:50 mark in the video somewhat shows this ruclips.net/video/3A9ExD12uiU/видео.html . You can see it a little better in my other snow globe video here at the 3:30 mark ruclips.net/video/E2FPJZcsPhA/видео.html Hope that helps!
