there's something cathartic about seeing Clem getting pushed back against Terran as Protoss

@@mcmarkmarkson7115 that doesn't change that learning a race takes time, and we can clearly see that he's still improving, plus for now he does mostly only a single build order and still makes quite a lot of strategic/tactical mistakes, so I believe he will continue to get better for a while yet
@@mcmarkmarkson7115 well, yes, but he also has clearly not gotten the experience under his belt to really adapt and expand his build order repertoire. his build orders on protoss are still mostly quite flowcharty and more about having a plan set out beforehand while he seems to struggle somewhat still at adapting said plan to what his opponent is doing

@@WhoTheLoL Serral was about one every 6 months when he was sweeping, and he still doesn't show the likes of MaxPax or Hero anywhere near as much as Clem right now, when MaxPax is better than him as Toss ("Professional")
Winter is just casting what people are watching. It is a bit more fun to watch Clem’s exploratory blink in’s than mystery man Max pax, that doesn’t play in live tournaments. He got us with the click bait though. I would say DT’s were used but they were just mixed in.
Honestly that may be a better use for DT’s adding their damage and forcing out scans / turrets letting the zealots take the brunt of the damage before they realize there are DT’s also.

Love watching Clem play Protoss and try to make the warp prism work. He uses it as a drop ship but hardly ever warps in from it.
It must be frustrating to have his drop play be shut down by 1 Viking. I wonder why Clem doesn’t seem to get the warp prism speed upgrade.
I love that I feel like I'm getting to know these players and this game so well without even touching it.

So this series effectively reinforces the consensus - top level PvT is all about just how much you abuse Blink Stalkers.
If Protoss deals enough damage with crazy blink/prism micro, they win (see - game 2).
If Protoss tries something else than blink abuse, they lose even if they're the world champion (see - game 1).
If Protoss fails to do sufficient damage with blink micro, they lose even if they're the world champion (see - game 3).

@foncareth7857 Clem is the best, sure, and he reached the spot as terran, sure, but his Protoss is also the very top, comparable to MaxPax. And just as MaxPax wins the occasional game vs Clem and other top terrans abusing Blink Stalkers, so is Clem winning his occasional PvT betting on the same horse. By now it's just pretty clear that Protoss has only one opener viable in top level PvT play - Blink. MaxPax plays it vs Clem for any chance of success. Clem plays it vs other top terrans for any chance of success. That's just what is evident from the games we're seeing.
I love how terran players relish in protoss players not enjoying the current state of the game. While there surely were times when Protoss was in very bad shape (remember, there was a time when there was no mothership core, no shield batteries, no photon overcharge, no energy recharge, no adepts etc), currently it's not so much imbalanced as it is... uninteresting. PvT EQUALS blink abuse OR protoss loses. Surely you'd agree it's not the most entertaining dynamic ever.
Protoss is a race created for those that like ez. Catering to those guys. Requires less apm. Most splash, no micro required until d1 and above, ez vision, most cheeses. Best race until you get to pure skill. Then it falls off the fair cliff. Justice.

but if not then there's so much wrong here, Terrans have the most splash units of all 3 races. Terrans also have the most siege up, zone and let auto attack units (Tanks, liberators, widow mines, Planetary fortress), Terrans have easiest vision acquisition (orbital scans and cheap widow mines scattered that can do massive dmg), the only micro Terrans mostly need to do is for thier MMM

Late game prediction: blink stalker, prism, lots, colossus, sentries. The units he takes advantage of are almost equivalents of his usual terran strategies.

Spirit was doing a lot of work with splitting off just 2-3 marauders to kill high value targets while the fight happened.
I couldn't wait til u cast this game I saw this battle on wardi tv, Clem refuses to light the Beacon, someone tell him the mothership exist (and its stronger in this new patch), or even Stargate exist. his phoenix lift would be epic. I can see him lifting the entiring bio army and one shooting them with tempest from behind

Love Clem for sole reason that he does avoid TvT matches!
So another day of:
- a game that was meant to be a TvT
- MMM dominance
- Ghosts instantly clearing a lot of shields leting naked a lot of unfixable units
- Colossus dying before being useful against T
- Disruptors shots looking useless in high competition
- DT invisibility looking useless because scans are for free after mid game
Spirit played well.
Just recently Clem as protoss dominated Cure. HeroMarine is also having some trouble against protoss (I watch some of his live on his channel here on RUclips).
the weird thing is, only at this elo, before top 16, maybe top 32, protoss sweeps despite all those things
Maybe it really is just that warpgate needs to be removed/limited in some way
-Only in proximity of a nexus on your half of the map
or -A cooldown of 6 warp ins at once from a prism (with cooldown) or 4 at once (no cooldown)
Some arbitrary bullshit like that is needed to hamper not peak toss, and then maybe they can actually looking at fixing the units and comps
Because Clem refuse to build stargate or even a high templar, feedback + storm would nuke that bio ball hard and Oracle statis spam would have a ton with all the drops.
@@PJOZeus Peak toss currently is just Maxpax lmao, Hero is not even close in build order and how clean he execute it. When you whack Clem on regular basis dude knows what's he doing.

Clem needs to quit disrupters and try storms, he seems lost with rupters
No templars, no archons, no tempest... What did he expect?
Archons have no mobility they would have been crushed. Maruders are resistant enough to storms. And he wouldn't have enough time and ressources to go stargate. The only viable thing was immortals. Not a single immorals against maruders WTF? Those are basics.

Archons are tanky enough to draw enemy fire, and strong enough to cause damage.
@@FelipeMedina-yz5pwi know but the maruders slowing ability would strongly affect them. It would need a test in a map i guess and a good macro. In this scenario everything is on the hands on the ghosts anyways. Like in all TVP match ups.
@@FelipeMedina-yz5pwif the archons get affected just by 2 EMP, they are just erased in 2 seconds. Immortals will still have H and 3 shots maruders. This is is why clem's doing lot's of zealots, which most economical and viable option here (first main counters of maruders) but not powerful enough =(. But i guess some snaps or phoenixes maybe to kill the dropships could have made the win, but the gestion would have need extraordinary macro. The problem is that terran are so fucking annoying with dropships that it is very hard to tech 🥺 and need powerful defenses as protoss... And this is why i love doing phoenixes to kill those f&'_-€ dropships. And it' s hard to focus thêm with the stalkers with so many tanks and maruders. It would require such big mind game and micro.

They have no effect, they're fan made and hint at what the player is known for or a strategy they've employed in the past if I had to guess
I was wondering the same, I haven't played or watched in YEARS so I assumed it was some new mechanic, like they tried to add the upgrade trees from the Campaign to Multiplayer. So many units I had never seen before too.

Funny how everyone is saying how one dimensional protoss is in the PvT matchup, all the while ignoring the fact that Spirit did not ever change his unit composition in all his game. Bio Blob.... Boring
This should be proof that even a pro can't use disruptors... *developer... we want to give protoss a siege type unit but not the reaver it was to effective... lets make a unit called a disruptor... lets make it too slow to move effectively, lets make its reload time longer than most units in the game... i know how about lets make its weapon have a very slow speed and short range so everything can run away from it effectively... Brilliant*
Love seeing Clem play protoss. It's entertaining just like Maxpax. But what I love seeing even more, is the mouths of all the deluded terrans in the comments being shut. Look at your boy Clem, who you consider a god Protoss, getting rekt by a mediocre Terran player. Look at his Collosi wandering off and getting sniped. Look at those ruptors being utterly useless. Still think protoss players are "just not on the same level" as Clem and Serral? 😂

He’s pretty consistently high ranked but we all understand your point I think. It would be even more damning if he played more games vs other high ranked players off racing as Terran and crushing him. I think with a short practice time serral could play Terran well enough to beat clems Protoss
