Allen your video's just keep getting better. It's a joy to watch and learn. On top off you teaching your buyers how you put one of your grills. I loved how you place your faith before you work.
I enjoy your BBQ grills build, I'm starting into building grills. I am getting my steel supply up and pickings are slim where I'm located. I don't have your expertise as of yet, but I am starting from scratch. Thanks.
I love your channel and how you describe your thinking and process. I'm just getting into CNC got a Langmuir because because my hand cutting isn't very accurate. I really admire the skills you have and am very impressed with the accuracy of your hand cuts.
Make no mistake, Allen you are a Master ! Dont know anyone that is as good as you with free handing a torch ! But time is money ! You know that, that's why you not building trailers ! Try to stay dry !!!!!
You're a beast man. I've watched a ton of your videos the past few days. You're killing it man!! Definitely inspired me to try my hand at making some of these. Even if it's just for my self!! Keep up the hard work!!
Hi Allen, always enjoy your videos..... I can see you have mature skills, you ever thought about doing a video on your day job, or how you picked up these skills. I think people would be interested, I seem to remember you saysing you do these at the weekend and evening.... Thanks Chris, PS, shame you live so far away, I would buy one of these...!!
Chris Buggie I would but our shop shut down about a month ago, so I'm just doing this right now, we re-built air brakes for locomotives and I did all the welding and fabrication work
Flux-core is fine and a great low-cost way to get started, They only downside is you need good ventilation and a respirator to keep that junk out of your lungs (one of the welders in our town had severe lung damage and even needed a transplant). Also, there is more cleanup needed on the weld beads. But as a beginner welder, there's probably a bunch of grinding anyway to smooth up the beads, so not much difference in the beginning. My situation was a little different than most. I got started with a MIG and used with the C25 (75% AR and 25% CO2) shielding gas rather than the flux cure because I was in a small townhome at the time, with houses really close to each other, and kept my garage only about a foot open so I didn't freak out the neighbors.
The 2 table top grills that u made in this video are nice... My question is about the 1 that's 2 ft longer than the other 1 ( shorter 1 ); but can u add a pull handle on it & sum wheels to it?? How much would that cost??
That's cheap man, a flimsy sheet metal grill sells for that much. You put a lot of work into them and the cost of materials eat away your profit. As the wise man said, If you place a small value on yourself, rest assured the world will not raise your price. Don't be afraid to ask for more, i know i would pay double without blinking. Keep up the great work and I enjoy watching a man who knows his torch :)
@@MotoWanderer you are absolutely correct sir. @allen''swelding/woodworking - the test of the correctness of your price is the rate of orders coming through the door. I know this is three years old, but I've only just watched this one, and it pains me to see a man not valuing his talent enough. There's enough average Joes out there, and there's a reason why good artists are paid much more.
I've been a woodworker for quite sometime. But watching your videos has me hooked. I think it's time to add another skill. You can tell how much a person loves what they do by their craftsmanship. Yours shines.

Once again, great job Allen. Precut is the way to go. Stream lines and saves you time/money. Keep doing what you're doing, enjoy your videos.

Very Nice Work As Always Allen
Allen you’re the best!
Love your builds. Trying to build my own vertical smoker and wondering can I use flux weld. I am new to welding.
Flux-core is fine and a great low-cost way to get started, They only downside is you need good ventilation and a respirator to keep that junk out of your lungs (one of the welders in our town had severe lung damage and even needed a transplant). Really Nice Allen! Do you have anyone selling these online for you? Amazon Ebay etc?
Where did you get your circle jig for the torch
Nice job Allen. What thickness of plate do you normally use when building your grills?
It looks to me like 1/4"
jimgam730 these are 3\16", but I use 1\8" a lot, 1\4" if someone asks for it but it's going to get pretty heavy with that
What u use for hinges
What are you selling these for?
James Daugherty the small one is $95 and the bigger one is $155

Why do you use 3/16 instead of 1/8? I would think 1/8 would last several life times.
one other thing!!!
If you had to build a table for one of these grill. What would it look like?
would it be a combination of wood and steel?
Where do you find such clean expanded metal?
