- THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE IN MY MK2 GTI STARTED TO BECOME ERRATIC, SOMETIMES WORKING FOR A SHORT TIME AND THEN NOT WORKING AT ALL, THE RED TEMPERATURE LIGHT WOULD KEEP FLASHING. EVERYTHING ELSE ON THE DASH WAS WORKING NORMALLY.

Thank you so mich for the video, I checked my dash and what i found is that the screw was a bit loose😅
Thank You...most people will miss this and look at the fuel sender etc....Great video
I had the same problem today.., thanks to this video i could fix it.
Thank you so much for uploading this video.. helped me out so much from rebuilding a set of clocks
Thank you for this. I also have the MotoMeter 140mph clocks apposed to the VDO 120mph ones and have had a strange problem with my warning light LEDs as well as the rev counter only working on damp mornings... I will try cleaning up my contacts and hopefully this will help. Cheers
thank you very much
Hi. Thank you for the video. I have another issue with the temp sensor.. on the mornings when the engine is cold, when I turn on the ignition the water temp goes up to middle position automatically with a cold engine.. and when the engine is running the temp level go up and the temp led starts to blink.. so frickin annoying..
I've tried to disconnect both the NEW Ntc sensors and has the same problem with the ignition on. Strange.. should I try to clean circuit board as well in video? Any help should be great!! Thank you!
عندي مشكلة في عداد لا يعمل مؤشر الحرارة ولا مؤشر البنزيل ولا مصابيح الزيت والماء افيدوني شكرا
How did you 'clean up' the circuit for the actual temp gauge ?
I assume he used a contact spray(spray designed for cleaning conductive surfaces and boards) after taking off the nuts and using something relatively soft as a toothbrush or painter's brush.
For me neither the temp or fuel gauge work on my new GTD instrument cluster and they did work when I tested the cluster after purchase.
When I plug in a different cluster, they work, but obviously who wants a standard cluster in their GTD, right?
Could issue be a missing washer on the voltage stabilizer(VS), a faulty VS or faulty gauges?
Check that you get 10volts from the voltage stabiliser, you will have to remove the instrument panel and then plug it in and turn on the ignition.
@@rogerc2637 I fixed it. Replaced the faulty voltage regulator/stabilizer with the one from an old instrument cluster and it works now.
@@astanisystems Well done.
@@rogerc2637 witam, u mnie na wejściu stabilizatora pokazuje ponad 11 volt
Na wyjściu 10,30 volta czy to za dużo
Proszę o odpowiedź
