What! Ok I agree with 99 percent of your opinions but this was an Ok movie. It was not bad. I think how they managed to bring the villain into the series was a good take. You seem to be just hating on this film cause of the constant disappoint from other films. But this is the one time I will have to disagree
The movie needs an After Credits scene where Random Handsome Man gets fired from his job due to going AWOL, gets dumped by his lover because he stopped being in contact and was seen galavanting with a beautiful woman, gets on the wanted list because he got caught in CCTV stealing a plane, and, finally, goes bankrupt after he uses all his savings trying to find out why he can't remember what happened in the past few weeks and why his life is suddenly in ruins.
I have to agree. I did a quick comparison between Wonder Woman and WW84. Directory: Patty Jenkins - both films Produced by: Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder. WW original has one more producer. WW84 had 3 additional producers Starring: Gal Gadot and Chris Pine. The main thing I noticed was Allan Heinberg was the Screenplay writer and the Story was by Zack Snyder, Allan Heinberg, and Jason Fuchs for Wonder Woman. The WW84 had three people doing the screenplay: Patty Jenkins, Geoff Johns, and Dave Callaham, and the Story was by Patty Jenkins and Geoff Johns. The possible problem here is that Patty Jenkins only had three written films under her belt two short films and a movie called Monster. And when you have a Director writing the story and the screen play, if they are not good it could be an issue.

Just like with Star Wars, these beloved franchises need a competent fan at the helm of these movies. Most of these writers and directors are butchering our favorite characters. Except James Wan. He made Aquaman cooler.
" beloved franchises" maybe we should like corporate boots less and realize that one good story does not even good stories forever after. One good story does not mean we have to pay them our time and attention and care forever after, especially when every story after the first main one is just a basic cash grab.
James Wan saved a character who was almost ruined by Snyder. Although Aquaman was not flawless and masterpiece movie but it was a great fun movie to watch.
Actually no, we just have quality taste in films . The low expectations for a decent movie is mind boggling. There's a reason they dumped it to streaming. Gotta feel bad for people who laugh at their own failed attempt at humor. ☺️

@Matthew Harris Yes. This is what happens when they've been massaging the director's 'script' for over a year and can't do anything with it. At this point, with a deadline looming, they just shrugged, said 'fukk it' and phoned the messenger service just to get it in and over with. With some projects, especially projects that were never thought through, you can't fix them. It appears the director had enough pull to write the 'script,' but didn't have the talent for it, made a mess, and it couldn't be fixed.
She is taking a page of the dudette that directed BOP. That is why I respect James Wann. He took responsability for any mistake Aquaman may have had (none in my book).

I don't pay any attention to film reviews anymore. I used to read through loads of reviews for most cinema releases. That was back when critics were honestly interested in the quality of the writing, direction, performances and so on.
They weren't able to copy Captain America-The First Avenger this time. This time they were on their own and they had to come up with something, themselves.
As I have noted elsewhere, putting one of the people who ruined Ghostbusters 2016 in this movie did them no favors. The only way they could have done worse is have Paul Feig direct.
They 'hope' that Warner Brothers will pay them this handsomely again the next time they release a whopping great turd of a movie on an undeserving public.
My favorite part was learning about the armor of the greatest warrior. She stayed behind to fight a bunch of men to allow the rest of the Amazons to escape, and they gave all their armor to her to protect her in her final battle. If that was all the armor they had, no wonder why they were losing if they were fighting practically naked😂
One weird thing in this film is they turn up in the Whitehouse, have a fight with the secret service, then just walk out of there. How do they not get arrested?
What's hilarious about this is: In Man of Steel, Superman snaps Zod's neck, something that is almost universally agreed upon as something Superman would never do. Now, in the comics, Wonder Woman snaps Maxwell Lord's neck, but in the movie, just makes him feels bad and regret his actions. Oh, the irony.
The reviews at the start just show what I've come to realise more as I get older. There is very little honesty in the world, it's not just reviewers, it's people. Most people are cowards and full of shit.
I know superhero movies traditionally dont make a lot of sense, but WW84 takes it to a new level and practically redefines the dictionary definitions of "stupid" and "nonsensical". Nothing matters, there are no stakes or logic, anything can happen at any time. Very boring.
@Nolberto Cales - it makes no sense WonderWoman can make it invisible by touching it and they can fly through fireworks without damage. Then why didn’t she make her armor invisible and be invincible?
That was the best scene and the only scene I remember from the movie. My wife even commented that Lynda Carter still looks good at almost 70 years old.
Why was it set in 1984? Who were they targeting as an audience? People over 50? How many references were missed by people born in this century? If anyone was wondering, the woman in the “after credits” scene was Lynda Carter from the “Wonder Woman” TV show that ran from 1976-1979!

The means by which Steve returned should have horrified them both and been cause enough for Diana to take back her wish, and for the previously self-sacrificing Steve to demand she take it back. Most of these writers and directors are butchering our favorite characters.

@Matthew Harris Yes. This is what happens when they've been massaging the director's 'script' for over a year and can't do anything with it. At this point, with a deadline looming, they just shrugged, said 'fukk it' and phoned the messenger service just to get it in and over with.
