I wonder if it's because of drama/comic books (manga/manwha) because in romance stories it's not rare to have that set up as a "romantic gesture"... The romantic interest brings medicine to the sick one and take care of them.
Except that in those stories the two people are usually already close and pretty much already involved with each other... AND IT'S A STORY !
I feel like in real life if someone other than a very close friend, family member or whoever I'm dating were to try to do that I'd be really creeped out.

I found my husband in Korea, when i went last year for subscribe in Yonsei university: we met in a Karaoke in itaewon zone and he always been cute and well educated with me. We planned 3 days dating, but after only one time he asked me to be his girlfriend and introduced me his family and especially his mom that loved me soon. I am a foreigner and i come from Italy and i am italian, i never see he was rude or had bad intentions with me. Not all Koreans are the same, i think being foreigner for you in Korea have been difficoult, i hope you will find a good man that will love you forever. Good Luck .... ^^
