I have challenged myself to go to the Walmart fishing section and pick up the new Walmart brand fishing lures (Ozark Trails). This fishing challenge was definitely fun to compete in! While $5 for a frog doesn't seem too expensive for a lure, that you can get them for under $2 means more kids can afford to fish and more adults due to Ozark Trail branding. Sure, the lures might not be Rapala or Berkley branded, but last I checked the fish don't care about brand names.

I have a 10 buck plus per lure box and a Walmart cheapie box..
The Ozark trail ect lures get thrown the most, and catch a lot of decent large mouth in the Midwest for me.
You can get top to bottom water column fishing and not break the bank. Multiple colors too, and a ok size and weight range.
