Hey Meg! First of all I love your nails I couldn’t stop looking at them! I also wanted to mention that I have the same problem with those plastic bobbins. Something I do to prevent the string unraveling in a bag is I take old rainbow loom bands and secure the string that way. Hopefully that helps :)

I’ve been listening to *The Keys To The Kingdom* series. I’ve read *The Six of Crows*, *Harry Potter*, and *The Heroes of Olympus* series as well.

There’s two versions of J&P coats quality. The more matte floss is sold in packs for like $8 at Walmart. I find that they are also thinner to work with compared to dmc, prism, etc. The shiny floss you are talking about is the better quality one. If you notice, your J&P coats have a number like dmc do. So you can easily purchase that color online for 45 cents. Whereas the matte ones don’t. It’s just a basic color pack. I own both cheap & shinny but prefer the shinny version. Except I can only buy them online. I don’t use the matte ones because of the quality.
Megan Morris everything cross stitch. Com is the only place I’ve found them. But I think there’s like less than 100 colors so I don’t know if thats the only color range they have or the website only carries those.
How long did it take for bobbins from wish to arrive? I've been getting mine from aliexpress but aliexpress takes literally two months to arrive now haha. I personally love watching string organization videos, especially when people talk about different brands etc. That wish brand is like the default chinese brand haha I get it from aliexpress all the time but it's on wish, amazon, ebay, everywhere too cause it's very cheap. Masha knots buys it from amazon under the name Plieay. I don't think it has an actual name, it's just The Chinese Brand™ :D I'd definitely be interested in a string review series!
DMC is great mostly because of its colour options and variation of finishes which makes it great for its intended purpose- embroidery- but not as much so for knotting 🤷🏻♀️
I have some J&P Coates that is matte and some that looks like the DMC string. But what's weird is that all the ones I have that are matte, all came in an embroidery set like the ones that include the wooden ring and everything you need. Idk what's up with that lol!
Interesting indeed 🤔 I tried to do some digging into the company more but couldn’t find much on their hand embroidery floss in particular. Makes me more curious 🧐

My mom had gotten the embroidery set and never used it so she ended up giving me the embroidery string that came with it. I'm not even sure where she got it! It's been so long that she doesn't remember lol

4 months 😐 I ordered them in May and didn’t get them until the end of August/ start of September. I ordered them at the same time as my string lol
