I get that this is a pretty different turn for Nico Vega, but seriously, I think it's a pretty good song, probably one of my most favorite songs. It's a pretty encouraging and real song and it truly hits home for me. It's definitely got a message that a lot of people should hear

All these people complaining about this song must have only listened to Beast. Nico Vega has always blended a multitude of genres throughout the years, especially between pop, rock, and folk. Even in their self-titled album in which Beast was released had songs like Coal Miners Song, Medicine Man, Iron Man and Gravity. Feel free to dislike this song, but it's perfectly in theme with the Nico Vega that existed 5 years ago.
This is NOTHING like old Nico Vega. Those songs had so much substance. Dan ruined them trying to make them mainstream. Aja has even said that they made a big push to make more mainstream music. What do you think is going to happen when her husband is constantly on the radio?
1) bands change and grow. 2) a lot of songs on Lead To Light have a lot of meaning. Just because its a happy feel good song doesn't mean its not meaningful? 3) While Dan influenced, he didn't change Nico Vega himself. I doubt the band would have gone along with a push to mainstream if they didn't want to at the time.
MILK coal miners song is one of my favorite of all time.
I just wish I discovered her sooner. I'm in love. I haven't been instantly into an artist since I first heard Lights.
It fits their theme very well, I just always preferred their more rock and folk oriented songs I guess. I should probably get over myself, though.

I'm happy and sad to say I just discovered her because of a commercial. That's not a bad thing, because it's how I discovered Lights more than 10 years ago. The guy who called this "Nico Dragon" nailed it! The chanting "I believe, I believe" chorus sounds like every other band out there now. This is a pretty decent song, but my problem with rock/pop right now is that it has all taken on the same sound.
gossard56 dan Reynalds (from imagine dragons) is aja's husband and he helped write this song so it makes since why it sounds like imagine dragons if that's what Nico Dragon was standing for ;3
