@@carlosmcanino3826 Bull. Just because he finally hit a home run during the playoffs after a horrible season you think he's the god of Flushing? Give me a break.
Pete has declined over 3 years. He had that much time to work on his hitting and clutch issues. Sign him and you get the same old. Don't sign him and the Mets open up many options such as Bregman now and Vladdy via trade and sign or FA. Either way, this team means business and Pete is a stubborn employee who is fine with his decline. With Vladdy, they close the gap on the Dodgers. Still need an ace pitcher not just rubber-arms.
Pete can be a frustrating playing swing at balls 2 feet off the plate, missing easy pop up’s and when having to throw the baseball there’s always the possibility he’ll throw it away. And he’s asking for a lot of money and too many years. But I wouldn’t mind having him a Met for life for the right price
This is my only question for the Mets management, you just gave a guy thatit is not worth that much money750 million dead presidents , stupid but fine, now you have or by now someone else may have snatch him up a first basemen that have a minimum of 80 Rbi's plus 40 Hr's since he arrived to the team , it has been stated that is because he had a bad year and he is in declined, let me tell you what I saw , his so called bad year ended with 34 Hr's and almost 80 Rbi's and hit a critical HR , against Milwakee to send the Mets to the League Championship Series against LA, still the team just needed two more wins to make it to the WS , this is a team that before the All star Game was mathematically eliminated , but since the month of June became ended with the best record for the second part of the season, on their path they got rid of Atlanta , the Phillies and Milwaukee playing some games with just hrs of rest and all of them put it together and ended two wins short of the WS. That offer of 3 years 90 million dollars was an awfull sign of disrespect for a player that have been the powerhouse ofthe team since his first game , yes it is true that the market for 1st basemen is not that attractive now, and you are trying to make peope believe that you can do without him , by putting Vientos on first. If it is very true that Mark had a monster season since his return from triple A , let's don't forget that is was the management who sent him to Triple A , and that let's say was his rookie season with the Mets, I will be very honest here because I have seen a lot of baseball in my 63 years of life , what makes the management believe that he will have another season like last year again or close to it, I guess when we lose Pete and Mark don't make the grade because of all the pressure drop into him to produce everyday just become too much, besides just use your head for one second here a fantasy baseball lne up with Lindor First, Nihmo Second, Soto third or fourth Alonso third or fourth, Vientos on third, 5th , Alvarez, Winker or Tyrone 6th, bringing back Iglesias 7th and in second, whomever is that the team got to replace Bader (and that was a real waste of money) in center my bad Siri which to me is also another waste of money yes he can catch a ball but his bat have always been like the moon and it's faces, and still got plenty of good option for DH.In a fanasy line up like that there is easy 5 and almot a 6th player that can produce 100 Rbi's or very close to it, Run is what won the games last year, besides without Alonso now you are placing all the weight to produce RBI'S on Soto , without having a deterrance of Power hitting before him or after him, the opponent can not allow to put both on base ,when is most likely that Lindor will be somewhere already on base, Iglesias may no have the power of Bregman , but he plays the game hard has a good glove and prove that he can hit on the clutch and is was , way cheaper than trying to sign Bergman which minimum will be asking at least somewhere around the 400 mil or so and a short contract, and then the management dare to ask as to why the fans are not going to see the games or why they are booing the team or the press constantly being in all press conferences and just killing the mngr for the team performance, but to finish this is what I think the management is trying to do to these two Super stars in Alonso and Bergman they are trying or waiting for the very last moment when there is no more interest in both of them and disrepect both , with a contract of pennies per year and short term, well these two guys are not rookies , they know what they are worth , they are not trying to break the bank , only trying to stay where they like to play like in ALONSO's case, and willing to receive not what they are worth , but not at all to play for free , neither one of them will accept that, and then the season will end the numbers are counted and realize that the reason that stop them from winning a world series was those minimum 35 to 40 Hr's from Alonso and his 70 to 100 Rbi's. Then what or how you will explain the fans the mentality that you used to fuck up a season by not signing your consistent Power House since he arrive to the team.
We'll think of you Pete after The Mets win the World Series

Alonso wants too much money
Yes, absolutely move on from Alonso and sign Bregman. Alonso gets fatter and slower and strikes out more and more. Enough!
I don't think so

Geez, tell us how you feel but in 20 words or less and without four letter words please.
Both! Pete can do.
