I have a question if you don't mind. I'm actually missing the septum and soft pallet. I have an obturator but still sound incredibly nasally is there any way to fix the nasallity of my voice. It has greatly hindered many aspects of my life from work to socially and even talking to family members specifically my mother as she is jard of hearing in the first place. She's getting older and I want to tell her I love her in my real voice before it's to late. I don't know what I can do about my voice anymore. Any advice would be so greatly appreciated.
@@AnkitRaj-zu7tn I recommend you see a cranialfacial surgeon or Ear, nose ,and throat Dr . My son had vpi and recently had a correction using one of these methods. He sounds better and will continue to do so as he grows and attends speech therapy.
Hello! I have a 6 year old that needs this done and her surgery was postponed due to covid. I would love to know from another mom how your child's recovery is going! If you wouldn't mind sharing with me your thoughts about additional therapy following your babies repair? Thanks so much!!!♥️
@@Ranchmoma How are you? He is now two weeks post op and he's doing great. He was in pain about three days after. First two days is a liquid diet and the rest of the two weeks is pureed Foods. My son already doesn't eat much so that was a bit of a challenge. But he seen the doctor yesterday and he's held up really good he got to eat solid foods yesterday and he will follow up with speech
cmdub0257 wms that seems like a smooth recovery! I hope it goes by quick and I can't wait to hear that the surgery made an amazing job at improving his speech!

So you’re saying I can’t fix this without surgery? I really need to get this fixed by next Tuesday that’s when I start in person school
Can you help me how to treat
You can get a palatal lengthening or a buccal flap as wel
Speech therapy can also help!
