There are so many great GB from the original series that it's soooo hard to choose my #1 fave, but I do LOVE the One Day At Horrorland cover and no matter how many Horrorland reprints with new covers, it won't touch the original, ever! I also have fond memories of the book too; I LOVED reading about the creative rides that Stine came up with and the worldbuilding he created for that theme park. . . .especially that coffin ride or the slide that rides forever---LOVE IT!!

It's a good cover, crappy book. Everyone loves it. I thought it was corny. One of the worst written and full of plot holes, even for just GB book.

If I had to pick some in no particular order then I would say one day at horrorland, Phantom of the Auditorium,The Curse Of The Mummy's Tomb. beast from east, werewolf of fever swamp, scarecrow and ghost beach. I never noticed the yes in the haunted school book, pretty creepy. I'm such a nerd that I guessed correctly the last 10 remaining books for your favorite covers lol. Love your content I'm from Virginia too, beautiful state its a bit pricy in somethingss but could be worse, as a kid I would always get the books from the school library(with child proof hard covers with woven cardboard to make them last longer), but I wouldn't read them just hold them for the covers, it wasn't till recently I've read the books and the first I read was Night in Terror Tower(it just called to me) and since theres hits and misses usually the books had 1 of 5 outcomes like their monsters themselves, ironic fate twist, ambigous ending, Stines humor ending, or actually sad/blissful ending.

I'm not a big fan of Brandon Dorman's covers; they just don't have that IT factor that Tim Jacobus accomplished. I LOVE Jacobus' cover of The Horror At Camp Jellyjam, which is one of my favorite OG books. His cover is creepy and ominous and it doesn't spoil anything. The Brandon Dorman, on the other hand, spoils the mid-twist in the book---it doesn't leave anything to the reader's imagination---and it doesn't look creepy, freaky, or ominous. It's not an awful cover; it just doesn't touch the original! I don't see how the original cover can be topped. Great book, great original book cover!

@@Rafael-dj-c Interesting point you make there. If you look in generations past at some of the things kids watched or read and today we look back surprised at how that was permitted, but that's because I firmly believe, in many aspects, our current society is softer---a whole lot softer---than generations past.

Haha more hate for monster blood one. Maybe I can lighten ur heart on it. R.l stine has said before that when he started goosebumps he didn't do the best with blending scares and humor so that is why the first two books he wrote were mostly scary with no real humor in them. (Specially welecome to dead house) when he got to monster blood he was moving into putting humor in the books he might have gone alittle to far but, hey he was still getting his style down for writing kids book. Up to this point he had only don't young adult book (like fear street). So the fact the the first two books r scarier show that they were the first two books he wrote. Hope this softened ur heart on monster blood one.
That being said few can deny this cover to be one of the better ones from the original 62. My favorite cover would have to be one day in horrorland. Love the park in the back ground.
Great video looking forward to series 2000s.
