This has been such an impact impactful video Dan. I've just listened to it with my eyes closed. Did the breathing exercise at the start and listen to your message and idea 💡. It'd has struck such a chord with me. You really do help. You deliver your content in such a calm and constructive way. Many thanks from my little house in my little corner of the UK
Yes. It helped me with fatigue. When it was normal fatigue, it went went away after one hour. I just had to live my normal life. When it was exhaustion, because the day before was a little bit to much (pem) the fatigue didn't went away and it was better to rest. It is a little bit tricky to find out when to rest and when to go. I am at a point in recovery where it is almost always better to do something. But I still have very few days each month, when I just need to rest. My message of savety is: it is ok. Fatigue is only a symptom my body uses to keep me save. It will go away after a while. I can cook/work/read. I don't have to focuse on my fatigue. On day one it is not as easy to believe. But now I am 3 months almost symptom free. In the evenings I can get a little bit more tired then normal tired. And when I feel it during the day, it is enough to recognize. I don't have to say anything to myself, because I know it will go away.
The brain and the mind are not necessarily the same thing. Mind is conscious awareness, the brain is the semiconductor that powers function. It's a good thing for people to understand what the brain is and that different parts of the brain drive different functions, and that some parts of our brains are 'modern', and some are prehistoric, and their responses haven't changed since the Stone Age. Consciousness is an altogether different thing. Dispenza talks all the time about energy into matter, and I can't think of a better way of describing how consciousness changes brain chemistry. Your brain doesn't think, you think, and your brain responds. Pretty much literally what you think you will become.

Hey Dan can you recommend any of your videos for when you’re no longer scared of physical symptoms but scared of life and future? What if the fear is real and what if you don’t live the life you want and your body and mind knows it and tms wont end. Being not happy in life means constant pain? Waking up everyday with heart palpitations, they were gone for 3 months but something brought them back

Hi Dan, your videos have helped me so much with chronic fatigue/flu like symptoms but this past week I’ve actually got Flu A and I feel so like before that I’m not sure what’s flu and what’s TMS but it’s stressing me out that I’m going to go backwards after doing so well. Do you have any videos on how to deal with actual illness in the wake of TMS/pdp issues? Thanks, I’ve bought your book on audible and looking forward to listening
Simply put - sometimes we get sick. Trust the body to recover from that. Fearing you will get worse increases the perceived danger. You will not be able to tell the difference between being sick and TMS. And you don't need to. Your response is the same no matter what is what. Panic less. Calm. Reassure yourself that your body will get you through the flu. KNOW the rest is TMS and that is temporary too. Trust your body, teach your brain. You will be just fine. This video explains. ruclips.net/video/0eVeOCey9E4/видео.html
It may have been my fault so I will try again. Hi Dan, hope you are well. Congratulations on your book! I have just ordered my one. I was having symptoms of U.T.I and Prostatitus last October which was bacterial and I was convinced that despite it being a bacterial infection that it was TMS. The antibiotics that I took for 6 weeks did not work and now the doctor wants to put me on an IV drip and I am finding it hard not to believe that something is not actually wrong with me. Sorry for the long message but I’m struggling here. Your videos are an incredible source of inspiration. Thank you 🙏
@ Thanks for the reply. It just keeps coming back and pain moves around in back and pelvic area rather than being localised and sometimes when no bacteria found in past, there is still pain.

What can I do?
Hi Dan I made some progress on some things such as overcoming my fears and doing a few things but the symptoms just don't go away the cervical dystonia Are the breathing issues or just the stiffness in my body It really sucks and then I try to relate to others and ask if anyone else has spasm or shaky muscles or any of these other symptoms just to believe if it's TMS and nobody ever replies to my comments :/ Plus I had asked you about genetic conditions or environmental (mold)because I have a family member I live with that has very similar symptoms and I don't think TMS would be the same in both of us and it seemed like you weren't sure :/
I literally get no wrinkles on my fingers and toes when I’m in the bath for over an hour. I wonder if this could be related to my autonomic nervous system being out of whack or if there’s actually something wrong with me?
i have chronic fatigue which obviously has the obvious symptoms (fatigue, flu symptoms etc) that are constant and i do believe its TMS, but when i got sick i had accompanying symptoms such as a constant sore throat and vision problems (static tv vision and floaters) could these still be tms? even when i got almost better before i still had these 2 stubborn symptoms... even taking the pain test i still find it so confusing to know
Even if it's not TMS, I beleive TMS is the right approach to anything , whether it be doctors or natural way or even chemo tms is still the right approach. Meaning live your life!! Don't think too much of the pain or surgery or crap.
It’s all TMS. Your nervous system is in a heightened state. This can cause all sorts of symptoms. Even heightened awareness to eye floaters and vision issues. These are stubborn because they are hard to ‘see’ past as it’s your eyes! I have this too , I fully understand .
@michellemoore9030 im hoping they just disappear in time without me realising! the vision stuff doesnt affect my day to day so i don't mind its definitely more the fatigue/flu symptoms
Hey dan I’ve been following you for such a long time and you have massively helped my health. Thank you so much. You’ve been part of my journey and I got your book just because I have so much love and respect for you. It’s excellent by the way. I was wondering I have someone very dear to me that has an eating disorder And has constant thoughts about how bad Food is as is anorexic so avoids eating. I think that your theory on perceived danger and the brain could help this because it’s about retraining the brain to be safe. Just wondering your thoughts about this and whether you can speak to this because I want to Direct her to your information, but I’m aware that it’s very pain and symptom focused, but I think your theory will help her ❤ thank you
Pain and other symptoms are the result of a brain perceiving danger. Anorexia is yet another symptom coming from a brain perceiving danger. The solution is all the same. Reframing that food is bad for them will be the challenge. While there are certainly some foods that are processed and not healthy, there ARE many whole foods that ARE good for us and quite nourishing and healthy.
😊 thank you Dan for that reminder all of our parts in our body are good and our bodies are wonderful complex machine that keeps us going we need to treat our bodies all of our bodies with respect love and compassion and stop trying to fix ourselves cuz there's nothing to fix it's human nature to take part in recovery the control Factor trust the Brain Trust the body trust in the recovery!!! Even if they're setbacks just calmly remind the brain that you are okay and I did not injure myself I woke up with more symptoms this morning probably because I did more at the gym and it's normal to be sore and part of it the brain was scared so I'll give it time and talk to the brain calmly
Hi everyone. I’m new to Dan’s videos. Could someone please tell me what TMS stands for? I googled it but want to make sure I’m getting the correct info:) TY
I'm wondering if in the case of having some serious condition that the brain creates symptoms of warning about--an illness you know you have--could the brain simply be told "I'm aware and there's nothing more you need to do about it. In fact, your pain symptoms are making it harder for us to protect ourselves and help to deal with the condition." Say, for example, you had a cancer and TMS pain limited your ability to keep fit. How likely is the brain to receive this message and back off? How would you make that work?
Why does my brain want to keep reminding me of my symptoms. I can be going along for a few minutes without any symptoms when suddenly it says don't forget me and wham bam they are back again. Even when I am just making a cup of tea. 😊
Because you told your brain that these symptoms are dangerous - so ofc the brain wants u to look after those. Are they still there? In other words am I safe ? Are symptoms are there so I’m not safe (which leads to repetition of the cycle). And even if the brain knows that symptoms are safe it needs time to return completely into ventral vagal state- like a light bulb turned off still is warm.
