New fan! I live in the US and my family have been here for, at the newest, 4 generations and, at the oldest, since my two ancestors who were on the Mayflower. Even though I'm an American and proud to be I have always been very interested in the UK since that is where the majority of my ancestry comes from. According to my DNA test I am 81% English/Welsh/Scottish, 76% of that being English. We also don't have the history over here like you guys do because the US is a BIG place and we have to glean our history from archaeological sites and native folklore. There were no monks here to chronicle our story here. I hope you Brits guard our history zealously, you're lucky to have as much of it as you do.
I wish my country had the money, brains and guts to make a program like TT. I secretly think that if we plopped down some archaeologists into any country on the planet, they would come up with some amazing finds and a great show. I guess what I am saying is that I really want to take Phil to Croatia and leave him there with a shovel and some beer :) Edit: Having now watched the video fully, I realize this may not have been the best comment to make on this particular episode. If you are trying to establish yourself as always being in the area and making a new building, making that building in an older style will best sell that establishment. A new more modern house will counter the establishment claim.

Here's a giggle for you. There are so many Robinsons because during medieval times, children born after the revels of May Day--those to unmarried women--were known as Robin's son, i.e. the child of the forest, intimating that Robin Hood was the father. Having Robin's son wasn't considered awful, and no woman (that I've heard of, anyway) suffered from having one. Indeed, her fertility was assured, and they were often in demand as wives.

Why is it that both this show and Time Team only gave themselves 3 days to do a dig? Seems like such a waste of time In order to do a proper dig most sites (I thought) give themselves a minimum of 2-3 weeks. Can anyone tell me why TT and Timelines digs are so incredibly short?
This video IS Time Team! Time Team came about when Mick Aston and several others got together to produce a show featuring live archaeology, before this virtually undone. They wanted to bring archaeology to the masses, to both educate them and get them interested. As for the three days issue; Most of the experts and diggers involved have regular jobs and sacrifice their weekends to do this so more than three days in unfeasible. The type of archaeology done here is exploratory, defining the area, the timeline, the state of preservation, and a basic understanding of what the site contains. For instance a Roman villa on an acre of land, 3rd to 4th century, and eight inches below the grass. The fact that they found a piece of prehistoric vase or a very old coin do not mean there was a settlement there for that time - I have very, very old things in my house but I live in the 21st century.

Us and them. So now they’ve made the law Noahide laws they’re ready for a repeat this half time I think they will lose and so it’s half a time. They’re actually in the process of handing our land over to others. Jesus come.

@@dswilliams2686 - the White Queen episode was season 18, and it has always been a favorite. I did a lot of study/research into Lady Jane Grey's life many years ago. This one is really satisfying because it's who her family was. :)

The fact that they found a piece of prehistoric vase or a very old coin do not mean there was a settlement there for that time - I have very, very old things in my house but I live in the 21st century.
People talk like there was only one evil time for us nope this same thing has went on since before we ever made it to England 🏴 Carthage’s are more than likely us not just druids and for sure our bones are under Rome and this time they refer to mid evil because people remember us being burnt alive for our bibles. It wasn’t the first time it happened twice before that it’s what God calls the saints being trodden down by the heathens. So we’re in the half time period. We’ve been infiltrated impersonated and lied about killed. This half time is ending soon. We have what I’ve calculated to be within 50 years as it’s half a time. I’m not sure exactly how long is a time but it’s close to 600 years and now since we were impersonated again it’s almost been 300 years that is almost half a time so their time is running out and they are planning now and have been in the process of clearing their name and making sure people say were evil so lies are told and we’ve become restless. Us and them. So now they’ve made the law Noahide laws they’re ready for a repeat this half time I think they will lose and so it’s half a time. They’re actually in the process of handing our land over to others. Jesus come.
What a waste of time and film. Or, was it. Science doesn't exist to prove your hopes and dreams. It's tough and often disappointing. I'm sure all archaeologists hope to find another King Tuts Tomb.
