I like your videos and you should keep up the good work documenting you’re experience as an exotic animal keeper but reptile carpet is actually bad for a leopard geckos and could possibly cause harm so as an alternative I would recommend paper towel and also you should give him a second hide for temperature regulation also sexing leopard geckos isn’t difficult. You just have to pick him up and look at his back legs to see if he has some little pores sticking out if he does then it’s a male if it’s a female, but you shouldn’t worry about it at the moment because your Leo is too young to sex anyway. Don’t worry nutering leopard geckos isn’t a thing 😊
As someone else pointed out, reptile carpet isn’t the best choice long term. I personally only used one for maybe a few months when I first got my gecko to give her the impression of sand (it was a rocky sand textured carpet) while I could get her stabilized as she was in a really rough shape when I got her. But there are cases where the claws get stuck or ripped out. And it is a breeding ground for bacteria when not properly cleaned (and even then, it’s not always avoidable). But for substrate, you can use paper towels. I personally use a mix of reptisoil and dry coconut fibers and just make sure to feed my lizard out of the tank to avoid impaction. As far as sexing goes, it’s pretty easy once they mature more. At the base of his tail, there should eventually be two little bulges (his hemipenes) if he is a boy, but if not, it’ll be flat. And you’re correct, his colors will not stay the same. But he will almost certainly stay a vibrant orange color. If I had to guess a specific morph, I’d say a tangerine or albino. Hope any of this helped! He’s a very pretty gecko :)
I would say get him more hides he needs a moist hide you can use a Tupperware bowl and cut a hole in it with wet mess or paper towels also you can use paper towels for substrate rn since he still lil it’s super safe for him (:
get ceramic tile cut to fit would be better then the carpet and great for easy/ lazy maintenance , no hate id prob do the same thing due to the ease of it. best of luck Mango is such a handsome dude

When he gets older you’ll be able to tell if it’s boy or girl they don’t get neutered or anything lmaooo that’s so funny
ok thanks for letting me know
Just a heads up they grow quick. He’ll be 6-7+ inches in a couple months. Consider planning his upgrade.
I just posted a new video upgrading him
