How long have you had the 4x4 ? Have you had any problems? Did it hurt gas mileage much? I have a 2500 express van chevy and thinking about converting to 4x4. Thanks Tony b ft worth tx
Heard about the van yesterday on the inaugural "quarantine cast" of THC. Lookin' like she'll be a beast! Best of luck to you and company on the many public lands adventures that await.
@@soholtbrothers oops, I meant to say van. Might take a while to adjust to "Public Land Van" instead of bus. Either way, keep on spreading the good word of the lands!
What was the mpg difference ? I had an extended E350 V10 with the Q conversion. Was getting about 10mpgs. Sold it a couple years ago and thinking about doing an extended Express
4 wheel drive conversion ??? Was it around the $12k-18k range ??? I got a quote on mine but they said they wouldnt work on van above 60,000 miles. Mine has 68,000 miles.
Looks like you're from CO too? I just got a similar 15 pas Van. Dreading having to drive to PA. Did you just not want anyone from CO to do it? How did you justify it? Was it worth it? Your van looks amazing now btw.
Been thinking of doing same thing. Was van you did it on new? Motor in van? How does it ride and mileage? Sorry for all the questions. Van looks great!
I spoke with Quigley some time ago and if I remember correctly it is around 15 to 16 grand just for the 4x4 system. It can cost more for rims, tires size of lift etc.
That was a jerk of an answer he gave. He's pretending not to know what you are asking. Since this vid only references the 4x4 conversion it's obvious the question is geared towards the cost breakdown of the 4x4 conversion only. Why go thru all of the effort of recording the journey only to say call Quigley yourself.
Thank you for all your inspiration. Look forward to following in your footsteps for conservation. 😃 Can’t wait for the next video. 🤘🏻
We bought a 2004 Chevy express 2500 used it for work and camping loved it. Ours had 4.8 liter V8 pretty good on MPG
I have the same van.. Cant wait to see the outcome..gd luck
@@soholtbrothers just saw episode 2.. cant wait.. gonna watch this till the end...
Need to build one. Bad ass! I think I would have waited to put the tires on after I got it back home.
good call. save a few bucks on gas
Picking up my 2014- 3500 Savana Duramax from Quigley next week, starting my interior build this spring,
going exploring as soon as possible!
@@soholtbrothers Looking forward to watching your build, all this planning and so little time!
Super cool can’t wait to follow along on this build
Build came out great!

Looking forward to following along the journey! Here's to hoping by some miracle I get to see the bus while adventuring the lands myself.

What was the cost of this?
What was the cost of this beauty?

Are 33's the biggest tires that you could fit after the Quigley work, or would 35's be usable?
We put 35's on ours after the 33's. had to do a little trimming but they work great
@@soholtbrothers Great, thx!

Mine has 68,000 miles.
Look for an instrument cluster with lower miles and swap them out.

What year and mileage was the van when you bought it?
Yes that would be nice to know
2010 with 26K miles
What size tires did you put on it? They look larger than stock?
I'm confused, you can do other things besides Archery hunt in September???
Wooooooo hooooo!!
They do a great job... I've had two...
i can’t imagine having 4x4 on mine, has there been any down sides to it? my rig is kinda similar
Sam Soholt Which engine do you have and what was the MPG before and what is it now? How much did the 4x4 conversion cost?
What was cost to convert to 4x4
Would love to know the cost breakdown. I have a Express 3500 extended myself.

What was your mpg before and after?
Yeah I understand that, I’m interested in building one also. So your basically getting what 8mpg?
