    "Whats your favorite part of ots!?" "The lines.." "The lines?" "Yeah, I don't know what to do if i'm not standing in a line." This had me cracking up! FLT 169, Lackland AFB BMT! I Interviewed for an officer position last month - still waiting for a reply. Wish me luck!

    I am a freshman in college majoring in PT and I plan to attend OTS once I have my degree. Watching videos like these encourages me and keeps me pushing through all the hard studies. Thank you for sharing

    Hey thanks for the vid! I'm set to go in class 21-04, quick question about receiving marksmen status; is the M18 the pistol being used for the test or are they still using the M9? Are we trained with the M-16 as well? Lastly, if you do not receive marksmen, are you able to retest later in your career or is it just the one chance you get?

      M9 is what we qualified on

      @@RyGriff sounds great!! Yes I had no military experience as well but I was a dependent when my dad was in the AirForce so I had an idea but always nice to experience military as an adult! So far it’s going well ! Much to learn but enjoying every second of it!!

      @@instantramen1379 Happy to hear everything is going well. I’m in my early 30s so I know that is not helping my chances of getting in. Have been running and working out every day for 3 months. Hoping to be accepted and for an awesome role. How was the job selection process for you?

      @@RyGriff Sounds great! Your ambitions and determination will get you in! I got in at 33 years old so age doesn’t matter :) keep working out every day and eating right. Join a OTS group on Facebook as well! I went in as a nurse so that was set for me but what jobs have you applied to so far?

    • @RyGriff

      @@instantramen1379 amazing! I’m in the very beginning part of the process. I took the ASVAB practice test years ago in the recruiting station and did very well. I am hoping with studying I can put up a good score on the AFOQT. I really want a pilot slot but understand that’s a long shot. I want to chase something pretty epic, challenging, and rewarding. I am waiting to hear back from recruiter about current Air Force needs in regard to jobs. I keep watching hours of videos on RUclips just like yours.

    Standing around with hands in pockets. Uniforms being worn incorrectly. Mismatched watch caps. Everyone smiling and laughing all the time. I guess the rumors are true, OTS is way harder than Basic Training.

    I know approximately 50% of USAFA graduates go to pilot training, what percentage of OTS officers go to pilot training?

    • @eelyeoj5799
      @eelyeoj5799 4 года назад +1

      The air force is in high demand for pilots. If you pass all requirements then it shouldn't be a problem getting a pilot slit. Most rotc classes are about 50 percent get pilot slots.

      A lot of these people are prior enlisted. Getting selected to go OTS direct from civilian is pretty hard as there aren't many slots. Leadership and work experience prior to applying helps a lot.
