@@kevinmendezphoto Your standards quickly get adjusted to whatever surf spot you have to surf at. I remember when I lived in Seaside across the bay from Santa Cruz. My regular haunt was the hotel, the sand plant, Marina Beach and if you want to drive farther Moss landing. Any wave that didn't close out, was considered a good wave. And if you could click off three lippers before the wave ended It was considered all time. But I've lived in Santa Cruz for 25 years, And if your ride isn't at least 50 yards with at least three decent carves off the top, it's considered a very average ride. I'm so spoiled now, that if it isn't breaking within 5 minutes of my house I won't even bother driving to the west side, let alone up north. But when I lived across the bay, lots of driving, continuous beatdowns trying to break through the closeouts, and very short rides were the norm and you just got used to it.
@@claybutler im used to the closeouts and short rides of beach breaks. Whenever i have an opportunity to surf a long one and get a few turns in my absolutely psyched on it. You have lived in some cool areas and have surfed some sweet spots!
October, November, December, is the most likely months to get nice surf in Frisco, and the most likely months that you can get offshore conditions , otherwise, it'll be howling to strong onshore wind and closeouts from Kelley's cove to the zoo, lived there for the first 17 years of my life, fun to watch when this time of year shows it's stuff, especially deadmans , eagles, and the illusive ft point, but when it's on , it's on,
looks so epic out there
Those waves made me want to get in the water so bad. Looked like everyone was having so much fun!

You ever surf at Pigeon Point?
@@vf5536 i havent. Does it get some decent surf?
Up the coast brah... 😂
Im the worst at mixing that up. Im used to go north to south 😂
For Ocean Beach any day that's it's not a total closeout with a current that drags you a mile down the beach is considered "epic".
hahaha so true. yesterday I caught mostly closeouts and the current was enough of a pain. still had a good time tho
