On several occasions I have seen a member of police hierarchy, a local mayor and media sitting down, discussing openly what they wanted the storyline to read and expressed that the truth was not published or referred to in anyway.
How's that for propaganda and corruption when people of "power and trust" blatantly LIE to the public to achieve a political agenda.
In regards to the shooting tragedy in WA police should have removed all firearms from his possession particularly if he was flagged to have his driving licence revoked. But in most cases if it wasn't a gun it would have happened anyway probably in a more brutal and violent method, list is endless.

As soon as I saw the statement from that guys daughter saying how she had tried to get police help repeatedly without success it became clear where the responsibility lies for that murder suicide. Their pathetic attempt to try and link that incident with normal gun owners just shows what an unworthy and self-serving bunch those political leaders are. Hopefully the tide is turning and we will start to see a lot more pushback on these people and their ideologies.

The thing is with this recent tragedy, The police were already aware of his mental state and where warned that he was a danger but they did nothing about it. With the current laws regarding firearm ownership, shouldn’t he have had his firearms confiscated as a precaution? Although the daughter said that he wouldn’t used knives anyway.

The West Australian is getting ridiculous at this point. "There was so much ammunition some of it was stored in the familys oven" then a caption of the image - bullets stored in the homes oven. Look at the image and its unprimed brass on trays with the oven on 😂

The West Australian has always been antigun ever since I remember - I moved there in 1991 and left in 2004. There is a dodgy link between the police and West Australian - not that long ago they published an "unmarked" map of locations of firearm owners in a Perth suburb. They left off the street names and suburb names to "anonomise" the location but left a significant landmark in that map ie the Swan River. I managed to find the exact match of the location using an overlay in GoogleEarth - took me about 5mins, and the map was conveniently shown with the conventional north convention (top of map). That was criminal as far as I'm concerned, and they got away with it.
Just remember there are always people that will do whatever it takes to get their way and sometimes they work in the public sector.

Mental health checks will do nothing except stop gun owners seeking help if they think they havea problem because they will fear there guns will get taken away
It popped up pretty quick, I'd say there is a lot of people that didn't even know about the petition. I dread the thought of returned serviceman let alone the rest of the community having to undergo mental health evaluations/checks, can of worms.

It took me an hour or two to ponder a response after watching as I see so much happening and changing around us and the world, it hard not to go on a rant. So um I will just say, We need to star asking more questions like why, how, what for and who is going to benefit the most from these changes, yes $$$$ for who. YOU WILL KNOW WHEN YOU ARE ASKING THE RITE QUESTIONS as they will talk over you, deflect the question or answer a completely different question just to belittle us. I wrote a letter to the nationals Mp to point out that the daughter complained 3 times to police before this happened that they where terrified of what might happen and they failed to act on this information, and in the interview she gave she stated that if he didn’t have a gun he would have used a knife.

Exactly right mate. I’m appalled that the police where aware of the situation and didn’t act on it or confiscate his firearms as per current laws regarding his mental health. It’s a classic scape goat on the agenda.
@@Johnnywestoz It's a legal system issue, and it's not that simple. If it were that easy to have firearms removed then the public would have already done it to others (eg my neighbor has guns and he always looks angry and never says hi to me when he loads up his car on the way to the range every Sunday. I think he's going to shoot someone one day so I'll get the police to come around and take them away before something happens.)
Mark Bombara did not have a record of violence, and the police had no reason or power to confiscate his firearms. Be careful what you wish for.

I think it's the same worldwide because of social media. Highlighting the most horrible news has become the press's main business. They know which kind of titles we click on, so It's directly caused by the way we use our smartphones. Maybe it's time to react and do something to stop this and change our behaviors. And also as you said fear is the best tool for politicians but it's been like that for a long time. Maybe it's time to make a campaign against this kind of use of media but how???

It is a very unfortunate situation we find ourselves in here in WA and I fear that without some better media traction on our behalf as firearm owners it will only get worse. I am more than happy to help in any way I can and I would like to think I am certainly not the only one, the problem is that aside from doing what I have already done, which is sign petitions and share links and contact my local member, I'm not entirely sure where to start. If you do have any suggestions as to what we can do physically, I'm sure I don't just speak for myself when I say I would truly love to help. Please reach out, that goes for anyone else reading this also. The time for us to what we can is now, soon it will be too late and all we will have to talk about is regret.

Labor is controlled by a few. I am not fully aware of how many steps there are in making their policies/laws, but it goes like this: The Executive committee comes up with a bill/idea and if the majority of those members vote for it, it is past to the next step where the major proportion of that committee consists of the previous committee , all of whom must vote in favour of it, so it only needs a small number of those not on the previous committee for it to be passed. It then goes to the next step where all those on the previous step must vote for it, and so on. The result is that a small number of members can force the final decision in favour of something that an actual majority in the party do not support but must for it.

In the UK you need a medical certificate, and you're Doctors surgery has it on record. If you have an issue the Dr can see you have a Firearms Certificate and they have to let the Police know you are a risk.
This is a better way to deal with this.

I've heard of that happening over here but might be an urban legend - some guy got diagnosed with Alzheimers and the cops showed up a few days later to pick up his firearms, but they were actually stored at one of his son's house, so they couldn't do anything about it. Here in QLD the weapons laws include that the license holder be "fit and proper" so, even though there's no requirement for any testing when applying for a license or a permit to acquire, it does appear that there is some comms happening in the background any way, between the medical crew and the cops.

Can you imagine the horrific alternatives the man who was not in a position to reason due to a physical impairment could have used? I understand that statement seems cold and comes across as macabre but it’s a valid point in my opinion, as for the domestic violence hoop lah being touted….yes some men are abusive scum, just as some women are abusive scum. I could be wrong but I feel that SSAA have let WA shooters down because we hear nothing about what they are doing other than that there are things going on in the background , whatever they may be .
With 90000 shooters in WA we need better representation .
I was recently reading about WAs first rifle club , the National Rifle Association of Western Australia !
Now if we could only have all of the clubs and shooters come together and re form the NRAWA with around 32000 members (32000 x $120 ) per year membership then we could have some formal representation .
I see that you have 460000 subscribers of which I am one and have enjoyed your videos for some years as have many others and continue to do so , and I am just trying to see if you could use some of your skill set to perhaps organize the new NRAWA and be its President ?

Charles Whitman had a small tumor on his brain and went on a rampage at a Uni in Texas(I think). It was alleged by some that this played a role in his murderous behaviour. He even suggested as much in a note he left behind, I think he was undiagnosed but felt something was not right with his brain and suggested an autopsy should be done. Bombara should of been releived of his firearms I beleive based on his daughters comments, when the dust settled he could of possibly gotten them back if proven to be a fit and proper person . Penalising law abiding citizens for something they might do is weak ,lazy and ineffectual legislation. We firearm owner appreciate your efforts , keep putting it out there.

Edit or additional content, perhaps move the book on the shelf behind you titled “GERMANY”. As absolutely ridiculous as it sounds the mere presence of that book in the background will give cause for certain people to become triggered, the next thing you know it will lead to you being labeled as a fascist or whatever popular label can be applied in the small minds of the sheep by the big brains of the manipulators…..to be fair I did say it will sound absolutely ridiculous….but in today’s society anything is possible, as you very clearly pointed out. G'day Mark, i really get a lot out of your videos. I have a friend that handed in an old cheap air rifle for the buy back scheme because no longer uses it but now the police have permanently recorded on his gun licence for his other rifles that it was "seized" instead of surrendered. Seized is more about being forcefully taken from him but he surrendered it voluntarily to dispose of it 100% legally. I feel this will be miss interpreted years down the track when police look at records of people and it paints them as a criminal because of the word seized.

In respect to last week in Floreat it was definitely a tragedy no doubt
One fact in mind is the daughter of the now deceased father who committed said acts warned WAPOL three times in four days
Why havnt they acted on the information given by someone who would definitely know how dangerous he had become and what threat he actually posed to their family, As Mark has said the pressure on his brain was a definite factor towards him being very unstable , WAPOL knew everything about his history and failing health
1st point , why didn't the remove his firearms ?
2nd point , why did they ignore the warnings especially when they knew he was unstable
3rd point , they left out almost all of the facts regarding his health and that his daughter warned them multiple times
My conclusion is they were hoping he would do what ultimately caused the loss of two innocent lives to push their agenda with proof of their proposed changes and how they will "keep the public safe"
Personally I think it has backfired in their faces
