Had this happen to me on the way home from a concert last night. Watched your video, ordered the parts and fixed it this morning. Problem resolved, thanks!!! Man I was worried it was something way worse!!!
Just had that happen to me. Except mine was a p0300 and p0303 with all the messages. Replaced plugs and coil pack original gm part for 90 bucks and 40 for plugs and so far so good 👍 this video just helped me confirm my suspicions
I.need help I just replaced the spark plugs and coil pack and new negative cable still get the same thing on my dashboard service traction control and stability control any help would be appreciated ty
@@dancurrier6421 have you checked your alternator? Those things are crap. If its not producing proper charge it will throw those codes too. I eventually ended up crashing the cruze into a deer and just went out and got a 2022 Hyundai elantra 🤷♂️ the cruze just has way too many problems.
One thing to check on those coil packs before buying a new one, pull the rubber tubes out. There are little cylinder/capacitor (not sure what it is) and see if it is damages. Mine was all rusted and had wires poking out. I replaced my coil pack, and my issue was resolved. That was a year ago.
Really good cause I’m bout to check mine. I’ve replaced my coil pack and plugs and oil keeps getting in my spark plugs. The plugs usually fix the problem but nope not this time.
@@brianjohnson7327 have you fixed the issue? I also changed spark plugs and coil pack (not GM part from Amazon) and I currently still have that cylinder 1 misfire with oil on that spark plug. I changed the gasket too! Thinking there was a leak bc the cover was chipped.
I have a 2011 Chevy Cruze ecotec. It's a manual transmission. I have replaced in the last month the air filter PCV valve purge valve throttle body and gasket fuel injectors and spark plug wells and I had only one code and it was a cylinder 2 misfire. I am still having all of these pop up. I have not replaced the coil pack because I looked at the boobs and the electrodes and everything looks really good but I'm not a mechanic and I don't have tools to test everything so I will probably end up replacing the coils. But also my fan is always really loud.
@@kristinapehrson4844 I would definitely replace the coil pack! just buy a free return coil pack from Amazon and return it if it's not the problem. I believe the one I have in the description does have free returns. You say the fan is always loud. Is the temperature OK or is the car running hot? Having the a/c on will kick the fan on as well.
Welcome to Chevy Cruze life, the 1.8 is a pain in the butt. I'm at 150,000 and I've already put three sets of coil packs from Amazon. I'm starting to think that I might need to go buy the expensive ones. The cheap Amazon ones are not that great they don't last long
U get what u pay for! Cause i had the same exact issue lol now im getting the oem coil pack n plugs. Learned my lesson after investing $10,000 into the car and only has not even 120k miles
Mine says "engine power reduced" "trantion control" "stabilitrack" i cant fund the problem alredy change coils, throttle body , spark plugs and still doing the same thing
hello i have replaced. Spark plugs, coil pack , , negative battery,, traction control switch , code on my scan tool Po303 and still has service traction control and stability control on my dashboard. Checked out my spark plugs again they are soaked very wet not sure if its a bad fuel injectors or my fuel pump i know my fuel pump is on its way out gas gauge doesn't work once in awhile
not sure if it's fuel or oil but all 4 plugs were wet it was just number 3 cylinder. it was driving good all day starting to come home from my sisters going up hill and then all of a sudden started running like crap loss of power check engine light and service traction control and stability control on dashboard just barely made it back home not sure what to do with it right now. if I put gas in it gas gauge once in awhile will say empty after I just put in $25 in it any help would be appreciated ty
@@dancurrier6421 if it's just number 3 cylinder I bet it's a stuck open injector. You also might want to check compression. I don't have any experience with these going bad on a Chevy cruze but in the past these were 2 things to check when having fouled plugs.
@@dancurrier6421 you will need a compression tests set. You can get one from Amazon or harbor freight. It will have a Guage and different size threads and hoses to fit different cars. You will pull the spark plug out screw in the hose attached to the pressure Guage, and turn the car over with the coil pack disconnected. This will test the compression and make sure your rings are not bad. If compression is low then rings are bad allowing oil to move past the rings causes spark plug to foul. That's a super short explanation but I hope it makes sense.
I have a 2013 Chevy Cruze. When I drive for 20+ minutes at a time mostly on the high way going 75+ mph the service stabili trak, flashing check engine, and service traction control comes on. Recently it’s been doing a whining noise on accelerattion after those things pop up. But after it sits and chills for an hour or more it’s fine until I have to drive it at higher speeds and longer distances. I have had the spark plugs and coil packs all changed and a new catalytic converter put it. But it’s still doing the same thing. Mechanics at the dealership can never seem to find anything wrong with it and tell me it’s fine only for it to continue to do it. Is there anything you can think of for me to check or ask the dealership to specifically check?
The only thing that comes to mind is maybe you have a Crack in your turbo somewhere, or possibly an intake leak. Sucks that the dealerships are no help. Maybe try another one because they are definitely not all the same. Wish I could be more help. Hope you figure it out.
I used a amazon coil pack and that exactly why im having to replace it again a year later bettter to use autozone for electrical parts . I have 2014 chevy cruze 1.4 lt dashlights on engine light flashes than service stabilitrak and service traction control
Yes I tend to agree. I went cheap from Amazon because I wasn't sure if that was the problem. If the problem was to happen again I would definitely try to get a better quality part.
Definitely check the battery, if it has corrosion on the terminals or the battery could be bad. Could also be an ignition issue. Wiggle the key while it's running and parked.
@@christianalt8847did you find out what it was? If it turns off and on when you are driving and come to a stop then it can be your starter. At least that was the problem with mine
When I was getting the ABS and traction control messages Chevy actually told me that that happens sometimes if it's extremely cold out and at the time my ambient air temperature sensor had not been put in yet the new one and it was reading -40 so there's actually nothing wrong with mine I just can't get the message off my screen
You should be able to get rid of the message with any simple scan tool that is capable of this. I use a Bluetooth obdII adapter that utilizes the torque app to clear codes. I paid like $15 off of ebay like 10 years ago.
I have a 2016 cruze eco and first my brakes started squeeking, then about 1,000 miles later i get service traction control message 🔧, when i pulled over my car shakes think its my tires. Did i press something by mistake?
Squeezing brakes are probably not related but just a coincidence. You may have same issue I had. You need to pull the codes if you have a check engine light.
