    Is there hope for humanity?
In light of the numerous challenges we face today, from political to environmental crises, it seems like there isn’t.
But according to today’s esteemed guest Marcelo Gleiser, there’s still hope! However, we need to shift our perspective, recognize our place in the universe, and rediscover our connection to the natural world.
These are topics he thoroughly explored in his most recent book: The Dawn of a Mindful Universe: A Manifesto for Humanity's Future. I used our interview to ask him a few questions that came to my mind when I was reading this wonderful book.
    Tune in!
    Key Takeaways:
    00:00:00 Intro
00:03:28 Judging a book by its cover
    00:12:08 Copernicus’ heliocentric model
    00:18:21 The perfect cosmological principle
    00:23:37 Crises in cosmology
00:29:01 Humans, the natural world, and biocentrism
00:40:28 But what about technological progress?
00:44:40 Information theory, panspermia, and exoplanets
00:57:55 The origins of life and unifying theories
01:03:01 On a more optimistic note

I always tag my videos as being made in Walls Garage, Easy St. STEM NC. This is a metaphor for experimentally hitting the wall in STEM... Walls Garage is the Garages Wall and Garage is the experimental process point... this is Hitting the wall in experimental sciences and phasing to the otherside like the opposite of the bigbang... its the otherside if the singularity.

12:50 we can be alone and still be alone if a trillion different species of human intelligence plus life exists... all is the Singularity Aka God aka bigbang... all encompassing and completely alone... all is truly 1.

You claim there is no evidence of UFOs but the definition of evidence is a percent chance of a likelihood pushing that possibility higher at what threshold is your acceptable percent chance does it need to be 100% or does it merely need to be 51%?

    • @AquarianSoulTimeTraveler

If it is 51 percent then you are a fool if it is 100% then you are a fool!

To ask whether God is active in the universe is the question oneself into question one's existence everything here is made in the image of God everything here is God and God is acting on all of it at all times and if you represent the ways of selflessness one for all but never all for one then you'll be protected by the highest good for the highest good... this is the ultraviolet this is the combination of the positive blue and the passionate red of the negative... this is life!

We, together with science and technology have to become connected to the moral pillar that has been lost on the way. That is what we have to do.

new technology is not the problem. we human beings ought to be more discerning!!!! and not just accept every new thing they want us to buy. we should have some foresight!!!! but very few see over the tip of their nose.

In the movie Arrival the aliens recognize that for humans to be helpful in the far off future they must alter language. We must embrace the plot of the movie Arrival to prevent the conclusions of the movie The Matrix.

42:34 One important evolutionary constant is based on the concept of simplicity first (offering first opportunity for a further expansion, or learning process)/ after which because learning means also making mistakes, or lacking more information, it at the same time also forces an adaptation later on. Which must be more intelligent or complete (other word for complexity).
This same principle means at the time of coal, nobody would have written a book like what Marcello did. Nor at the time of Playboy and movie vamps like Marylin Monroe you would find any woke adversaries, unless in a cloister not being vocal about it 😊 Think about that. It proves the theory.
So your question is impracticle. It could not have happened.

  • @alex79suited

Storytelling, consciousness. Peace ✌️ 😎. The passing of information. That's consciousness. Without stories nothing changes. With the telling consciousness is measured and everything changes. That's consciousness. Peace ✌️ 😎. Computers can't tell stories they can be programmed. The brain does this without reason. That's consciousness. That's the answer to what's consciousness. Just sayin 🤷. You can try and make it a difficult question, but it's simple. Stories.

Rom 1:18 - 22 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

Well, they are our new lords. They kicked away their commitment to mere empirical/instrumental theories for predicting observable physical phenomena long time ago. Now they happen to be our new lords, who will decide stuff for us, define humanity for us, define meaning for us, valuations for us, beauty for us, ethics for us, politics for us, future for us. Bow down to your new church, the church of pseudo religion of "science".

    • @sdrc92126

@@saimbhat6243 There is nothing pseudo about it. One of the jobs of God is to define reality and science certainly does that

    • @saimbhat6243
      @saimbhat6243 25 дней назад

@@sdrc92126 "Reality"!? If calculating how fast and which direction a billiard ball will move when hit by another billiard ball is what you call THE reality. Then sure, science does tell us about reality. But what if defining what emotions and what feelings come to your heart when you fall in love with a beautiful lady is what I call THE reality. Then poetry does tell us about reality.
What is so special about finding equations that predict the evolution of observable physical phenomena, that makes it some different category of "truth" and "reality", than the "truth" and "reality" which a poet or musician or story teller or a stone mason deals with. You are just stating your judgement about what you think is important and you call it reality. I don't see any big deal about theories predicting observable physical phenomena. For me, a good poet is greater than a great scientist.
