I've found the Physics and Mathematics I learned prepared me to attack and learn many other disciplines including OR, Aerospace Engieering, Machine Learning (Bayesian Classifiers, SVMs, and much more). So young people out there, go get Physics and Mathematics degrees! You will be able to apply your knowledge in many, many disciplines.
It depends on what you mean by practical. I have a BS in physics, and it has helped me to give me a very solid foundation in technical/scientific knowledge, but it has given me absolutely no help in the job market. It was a little more highly valued decades ago, but now, a plain physics degree isn't going to get you any jobs.

First, the Copenhagen interpretation feels FORCED with the additional added equations that were necessary to achieve a certain predetermined and biased outcome.
